New Study – “MCTs from the diet have been investigated as nutritional solutions for disorders such as epilepsy, canine myxomatous mitral valve disease, and cognitive decline due to aging. […]

We find that dietary MCTs rewire both the metabolome and the lipidome of the serum, which has the capacity to influence organ function. While the impact of MCT supplementation has been investigated as a therapeutic option for diseases such as cognitive decline, the results of our work suggest that dietary MCTs may also have other beneficial effects on the general health of dogs.“

Buttercup - and 4-year-old Chinese Crested mix looking for her forever home

This little 9 lb distinctive looking girl once spent all of her days used for breeding and not as someone's pet. She is slowly getting used to that feeling in foster but may always be a bit shy at first with people. It was a big step for her to join us out at Petsmart yesterday. While you can tell she is still a little overwhelmed, she has come a long way in a short time.

For Buttercup, to keep her at ease, we would like to place her in a home with other dogs, and a fenced yard is required. We only adopt in the state of Florida. If you have experience with the breed and their care, it is a plus.

Meet Milton !!! He is approximately 1 1/2 years old. Neutered, age appropriate shots. Great with other dogs VERY SWEET. He is heartworm positive and will be going home with Moxi-Doxy treatment. Loves to cuddle , great with other dogs cats and kids . Weighs 15 pounds appears to be Shih Tzu and maybe poodle mix .
