Hi
, let me introduce myself. My name is Kirby..
I was basically abandoned by my owner along with my mate Charlie. Well, I was abandoned by my owner. Let's be honest. Let's tell the truth.
Charlie got adopted though, but I and I'm still here at the shelter.
I miss Charlie a whole bunch but I'm starting to get used to being on my own and being braver.
I'm a little bit shyer than Charlie was, but I would make a very very good friend to you.
I don't have any friends right now.
I like to play ball. If anybody would be interested in playing ball with me, I'd sure like to do that with you.
I like to go for walks and I like to be silly. I can sit up and I can wave my front hands at you.
I would be willing to do most anything you would want to do.
We could be friends forever. I think you'd love me if you come to visit me and maybe adopt me.
I am a really good dog.
Thanks for listening.
KIRBY

Hey remember me? Thomas, ( all black kitten) the kitten some of you folks donated to me so I could have my surgery to repair my lip and have my tail amputated that was badly damaged.
Well I got adopted along with my good friend TJ.
And we're having the time of our lives.
You know TJ and I barely met and we became best friends.
Then after we barely met and got to be best friends, we were adopted together.
And our new mom and dad, They love us and we love our new home. Life is good.
THOMAS & TJ

Hi,
My name is DASH.
And I'm going to tell you about my life. It's a true story. After all, I'm a dog and I'm incapable of telling lies.
On 4/29/19, to this wondrous world of many wonders. one more wonder came. That being ME ( Dash).
I got to the Brown county humane society 8/15/23.
By way of the city pound, Animal control.
Animal Control had tried to contact my owners without success. My owners never replied to the attempts animal control made. So my owners didn't want me anymore.
I'm a Pitbull and we often get a bad rap.
Because people like to gossip and talk and they should probably sweep in front of their own doorstep and count the many skeletons in their own closet before they make accusations about Pitbulls and other people as far as that goes.
Now some people would say that I'm happy. I have a shelter and I get food & water I and see people.
But I'm not happy. I'm not happy at all.
In fact, I'm a very depressed dog.
Yes, I get food & water and I have shelter and I go on a walk once a day on that same couple of boring paths that that they take me on or I go to the dog park once a day. Oh yay! And then I come back to the shelter and I sit in my kennel 21 to 22 hours a day. That is no life for me.
I need a family.
Oh people here at the shelter tell me they love me and I'm great and all that. But if they're in a cranky mood or it's cold out and they don't want to leave the house or they got something better to do then they don't come and see me. And to me that's like a death-like pain way down deep inside. And then I wonder what I did wrong again.
And people tell me that they would adopt me but they have all kinds of excuses why they don't.
See I've been here quite a long time already and I would really love a place to call my home, and have a family of my own.
I understand that this is an area that is very hard to adopt out Pitbulls.
Pitbulls just don't get adopted around here very often.
I do come with some baggage.
I have allergies, food allergies.
Therefore, I have to take medication. I have to take Apoquel, That's a pill I take once a day, they also have me on the generic Zyrtec and that's 2 1/2 pills a day and I also have to eat a special food, Natural Balance Duck and Potato recipe.
If I go off of this diet or medication I get red blotches under my belly and I scratch and I itch a lot. I get red blotches all over me. But my food and medication keeps that under control for me. But in the end it costs about $200 a month for me.
So yes who if somebody would adopt me I would need the proper care and there would be an expense.
But I pray every night that there's somebody out there that can give me a home.
People don't you understand? I need a helping hand.
Just Take a look at me, Sometimes I think people are too blind to see or they turn their head & simply look the other way.
As the world turns and I sit here, the heavy hand of time keeps going & I keep getting older and wasting away in a shelter when I could be happy in a home.
And as sure as the turning of the earth. There's somebody out there breeding Pitbulls or people who aren't spay and neutering their animals and another unwanted Pitbull is born and possibly lives life in a shelter.
So if you can please share my story and help me possibly find a home I would be grateful to you.
And please don't adopt us Pitbulls because you think it makes you look cool.
Please adopt us because you want us. You want us to be part of your family and love us and we grow old together. We're not throwaways.

Thank you.
DASH

We are having a kitten sale for a period of time,.
Although we were having a kitten sale.
PLEASE be sure that you want us !!! and that you'll keep us for the rest of our lives. Please don't adopt us just because we are cute and funny.
Please adopt us because you want us and will love us.
Once you adopt us, we become your family no matter what.
Also, please keep in mind that when we come into your home we might be scared and timid. It might take us a day or two to adjust.

Hi,
I'm still here at the shelter. Waiting for somebody to adopt me.
But look at me.
One day a lady she came in and she brought a present and it had a name on it. It said HONEY.
She bought a present special for me.
My very own blanket with Honey Bees on it and Honey jars and stuff.
Wasn't that nice?
I think that's really cool and very kind to that lady.
I like my blanket a whole lot.

HONEY

Here's a little update on Hanson.
Hi,
I had my surgery on December 5th and that's a couple days ago so I'm feeling better and I'm doing good.
They put her like a little Thunder shirt on me so I can't pick at my stitches.
I'm healing really really good , So I guess it's okay I have this on.
I'm up walking and eating and drinking and using a litter box.
But then I have my pain pills and they make me sleepy so I lay down and I rest.
But I'm coming along real nicely. I'm glad my surgery's over and I can heal up and be a fun and active Kitty and find a good home.
And I want to say thank you to everybody that donated to help pay for my surgery.
