I know that I raise dachshunds, but......this is Thor (aka Peanut). Thor lost his owner recently and is looking for a new, forever, home. Thor is an 8 year old yellow lab (so he has lots of energy) and completely housebroken, but he is mostly blind. He does not do well with stairs (big, gommy legs and poor eye sight) or small dogs (he has trouble seeing them). He loves kids. He is a good boy, but has been through the worst and is now in a place he can't stay. If you are interested in giving Thor a home, please call Jen at 207-754-7327

Friends of our had their dog hit by a car this week. Her hip is broken in 2 places and the now her bladder, which must have been damaged in the hit, has now ruptured. She needs life saving surgery. Please share and donate if you can. Sending our love to Marley and her family.

Sometimes, I just feel like things are meant to be. A current Doxy Den family contacted me after seeing this post. They had had a sibling from Rufus's litter who passed away 3 years ago and they still have another Doxy Den wire boy. They were willing to open their hearts and home to Rufus and he is on his way home with them (snuggled up with his nephew) as I type this. I am so emotional right now. Rufus has been through a lot. Coming back to me was right, and this family feels SO right! The universe works in mysterious ways - even if it is through the FB algorithm Gods that showed them Rufus's post! I can't thank you all enough for your outpouring of care and interest in him.
This is Rufus. He is an original Doxy Den dog. He is 12 years old. His owner in his retirement home has passed away and Rufus has come back home. I would love to find him a new retirement home. He needs at least one other small dog. He is not fond of cats or big energetic dogs. He loves to chase the ball and not bring it back 😂 Priority will be given to other Doxy Den homes. If anyone is interested in giving this lovely senior boy a forever home, PM me!

Edit: Hilbert has gone to his new home.

Gilbert is a beautiful long hair brindle and he is still looking for his forever home 🏡 He will be ready for his new home on 10/25. Strict neuter contract, microchipped, all age appropriate shots and parasite preventative. If you are interested in this cutie, send me a PM!
