We have been receiving some questions regarding the recent reports involving concerns with Zoetis's Librela product and wanted to provide our clients with our statement: We have been in contact with the manufacturer of the drug and reviewed the data provided. There have been over 21 million doses given globally over the four years it has been in use, and the incidence of adverse events are considered rare. This drug has so far proven very useful for arthritis patients and it must be taken into consideration that many of these patients are elderly and have other concurrent health issues. The decision on the treatment of your pet is based on a mutual decision between you and your veterinarian and the final decision to use this drug rests with the pet owner. "
