Depending on the severity this can take anywhere from a half hour to two+ hours! That is why groomers charge what they charge, and why we take as long as we do for these very careful procedures. The cat’s comfort always comes first!
Check out the time lapse in the comments of this post to see the process! What looks like 40 seconds, is actually several minutes of hard, delicate work. Some people wonder why it takes so long and why sometimes it doesn’t include a bath. It’s because we do this process over and over until the animal is free of all mats!

February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month! Our friends at Feline Fix by Five are working to create awareness among veterinarians and cat caregivers about the benefits of early-age sterilization. They advocate for kittens to be spayed or neutered before they are five months old.

Ms. Mocha did great for her groom today! Sometimes all it takes is a nice bath to get rid of the dandruff and dead fur. A regular bathing schedule can even help prevent matting!
Not all great grooms look runway ready.
Clemmy’s owner was anxious about getting her de-matted because at her previous appointment with a different groomer, she was so anxious that she jumped through the ceiling and needed rescued! With extra care and patience, and a little bit of Gabapentin, she did very well today for her spot shave. Sometimes a well done groom means getting them as comfortable as possible, even if they look a little silly for a while after. Now she feels like a million bucks, and you can barely tell that she had to have so much fur shaved off!

Hello everyone! With the holidays coming up, we just wanted to post some of our frequently asked questions regarding boarding.
🤔 Are my cats going to have enough room?
Yes! Our boarding units are 6 feet tall, and they are wide enough so that your cat can comfortably roam around the cat tree included in each unit.
💵 What do you charge?�We charge $22 per night for one cat and $27 per night for two cats in one kennel. If you are bringing three cats to stay in two units, the total will be $49 per night, and so on.
💰 How do I pay?�We accept cash, card, or check. Payment is due at drop off for boarding, and the card reader does charge a 3% swipe fee.
📆 I need to cancel my stay. Is that okay?
Yes! Plans change all of the time! However, if we are given less than 24 hours notice for a boarding cancellation, you may be subject to pay a total equal to one night!
💉 What vaccines does my cat need to stay with you?�We require updated rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. The FVRCP is also known as the “Feline Distemper.” Talk to your veterinarian for more information!
💊 My cat is on daily medications, are you still able to take them?
Yes! We do charge $1 per medication administration, but we are versed in injections, pills, liquids, and transdermal medication.
🍗 My cat is on a raw food. Is that okay?
Yes! However, we do charge the medication fee for each feeding time for raw diets.
👵🏻 My cat is older and I’m worried about them hurting themselves on the cat tree. What can we do?
The cat trees that are in each unit can come apart to be only 2 feet tall! Anytime a cat is free roaming in the boarding area, someone is always keeping supervision. We guarantee that they will be in good hands.
🚪 Can I pay extra to have my cat stay in the boarding area over night? I don’t think they will like being in the unit for extended periods of time.
We are unable to accommodate for this request. Cat safety is our first priority, and If no one is at the business to supervise your animal in the playroom, then they must stay in the kennel. We are not a 24 hour boarding facility, so we do not see this becoming an option in the future.
🐱 I have 3 cats. Do they have to stay in separate units, or can they all stay in the same one?�We allow a maximum of two cats per unit, so your cats will have to stay in separate kennels. If they all get along, they can have time out in the playroom together.
Cats are masters at hiding signs of pain and disease. Senior cats 10 to 15 years old should have checkups at least every six months. Cats over 15 years should be seen every four months. Learn more about senior cats at https://bit.ly/30t5gVZ.

Hello everyone, we hope this message finds you enjoying the end of Summer. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your business and support over the past few years. We also would like to go over our cancellation policy which we have not strictly enforced. We have had a lot of last minute cancellations, which have really impacted our business. Being a small business, it's crucial that we are able to fill our appointment availability. We understand that life is busy and plans change, and we are happy to accommodate those changes, but we ask that we are given a reasonable notice so that we may attempt to fill the appointment slot.

Positive association is a great way to get your cat comfortable with being in their carrier! It also helps car rides and vet and grooming visits be a much more comfortable experience for them!

Not all matted cats need a lion cut! Miss Mocha did very well for her first groom while we worked the mats out of her coat. We only had to spot shave one small area! A brush out and dematting is a great alternative for cats with minimal, loose matting, and for owners who don’t want their cats to lose all of their fur.
