is a 501(c-3) non-profit Cat/Kitten Rescue and Adoption Organization. Onondaga, Madison, Oswego, Cayuga and Cortland counties. We try to help wherever we can :)

We do not have our own building to shelter our rescues, therefore our volunteers care for our cats/kittens in their own homes until they are ready to find their forever families! We also provide them with necessary veterinary care until w

e are able to find them permanent homes. We operate solely on the generous donations of others!! Plus, we help feral and semi-feral cats by spaying/neutering them through our TNR (trap/neuter/return) program. If we are able to find feral kittens in time (usually by 8 - 16 wks -- the sooner the better), we are able to socialize them and find them forever homes!!

Can you believe it? It's February already! 💌

Although we registered 88 absolutely fabulous pets in January, we received more than 125 calls that did NOT result in registrations!

In most of those cases, the household did not fit within the guidelines of our or SANS' programs. To those pet owners, we offer lower-cost spay/neuter alternatives in hopes that one will work for them.

Many of our calls come from a desperate owner who needs to find low-cost wellness care because their pet is very sick or injured. We are pretty helpless. Each of those cases is heartbreaking. Owners usually cannot afford the few options we do suggest.

CNY is in dire need of a low-cost wellness veterinary service that serves our devoted but heartbroken pet owners who have no choice but to watch their pets suffer.

If there are $11MM to sweeten the $85MM pot of covid relief money earmarked for a destination aquarium most citizens do not support, why can't there be $2MM or $3MM devoted to a no-frills low-cost wellness clinic? It's been shown that clinics serving the pets of owners with low incomes do NOT take patients away from local veterinary practices. We need BOTH!

Our Cats/Kittens that are ready to find their forever homes are located at our Adoption Room inside PetCo-Dewitt (Erie Blvd. Syracuse, NY 13214). Come in and visit them :) Everyday during store hours!!
