🌱 A GOLDEN day...29 on the 29th! Every tour is special for us, and this one seemed to be on a perfect day too! On October 29th, we welcomed the 1st and 2nd grade from P.S. 29 for a fun and informative Farm Tour. They enjoyed the view from Nicotra Grown Organic Rooftop Farm with smiles and excitement!

The day was filled with the wonderful smell of flowers, followed, of course, by delicious pizza from Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café. 🍕

One of the spookiest and most unexpected things at Nicotra Grown Organic Rooftop Farm was the surprising sprouting of pumpkins! This beautiful pumpkin grew on its own, without even being planted. What is your favorite farm fresh fall produce? Share with us in the comments below. 🎃

Last week, we welcomed students from PS 54 to view the beautiful Autumn foliage from Nicotra Grown Organic Rooftop Farm. Students arrived eager to learn and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café a following their tour. 🍕

What a SUNNY day we had with the 2nd graders from P.S. 13 at Nicotra Grown: Organic Rooftop Farm! The kids got their hands dirty, learned where their food sprouts from, saw some fresh radishes pulled right out of the ground, and had a "field" day of fun! 😎

It’s always a pleasure welcoming cheerful spirited 4th graders to Nicotra Grown: Organic Rooftop Farm! 🌱✨ These young minds, from PS 54, were eager to learn about the beautiful art and flowers around Corporate Commons Three COMMONS café. Their curiosity about sustainable farming and planting organic produce right here in the heart and LOVE of the Island brought us immense joy. This is why we LOVE Staten Island what we do. After an exciting tour—and reaching the peak on Recycling Liberty—the students enjoyed delicious pizza and cookies from Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café! 🍕💚

What a beautiful day we had on Nicotra Grown: Organic Rooftop Farm! Our lovely friends from Friends of Olmsted Beil House spent the morning exploring the Farm, enjoying the fresh air, and soaking up the sunshine! We were even lucky enough to have a lovely ‘chat’ with Reclining Liberty.

The Farmers were more than happy to answer any questions we had along the way, sharing stories and tips about their wonderful work. After a fun-filled morning of learning and laughter, we wrapped things up with a meal Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café.

Class is in session, except Farmer Chris is our teacher! We welcomed students from Staten Island Christian Home Educators at Nicotra Grown: Organic Rooftop Farm! They LOVED the ladybugs couldn’t get enough exploring our Farm. 🐞🌻 Their curiosity and joy as they discovered the fresh produce, and stunning views made the day even more special. It’s always so rewarding to see young minds enjoying a fun, hands-on adventure. We’re already looking forward to the next visit because we LOVE Staten Island what we do!

What a wonderful Friday morning at Nicotra Grown: Organic Rooftop Farm tours for the energetic students from the 6th, 7th and 8th graders from St. Teresa-St. Rita STREAM Academy! 🌾 Their enthusiasm was contagious as they explored the history of the artwork around Lois and Richard Nicotra’s Corporate Commons Three campus and soaked up gardening tips from Farmer Chris.

🌿Seeing the students’ faces as they discovered our Organic Rooftop Farm, with its breathtaking Island and New York City views, fresh produce, and beautiful flowers, is exactly why we LOVE Staten Island what we do! Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café🏙️🍅🌸 These tours are the perfect opportunity for kids to have a fun, educational, and LOCAL adventure.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting these lovely, stylish ladies from Red Hat Society . Dressed in vibrant red and purple, they brought such beautiful, fun energy to the farm. They absolutely adored the freshness of our mint, while the stunning flowers perfectly matched their aesthetic. 🌿💐

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting a fun and lively group from the YMCA, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect morning! 🌻

Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra greeted our guests, stepping in with a warm smile, and a friendly chat. They LOVE making sure everyone is happy and enjoying their time on Nicotra Grown: Organic Rooftop Farm! 🌿

What’s more perfect than the NYC skyline, organic produce, and flowers? After a wonderful morning full of adventure, laughs, and learning about the Farm, we ended the morning with lunch Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café.
