LuLu Moon is a female Corgi Cattle. Her favorite foods are yogurt and bacon treats. She is very friendly and adores meeting new people. However, Lulu Moon is afraid of people wearing hoodies or other face coverings as she cannot see their face.

We have finally secured a meeting with the new District 15 Councilman for Crotona Park, Oswald Feliz. We urge you ALL to attend and show your support to getting a dog run built in Crotona Park. Meet Riley, she’s a 2-year-old Yorkie-Pekingese “Yorkinese” mix, who’s enjoying herself on the first snowstorm of the season. As her mom shared, “she’s very adventurous, loves to wander all over seeing what mischief she can get into”. It’s adorable to see her tiny paws all over the snowman.

Community Marching Resource Fair at PS55 was an awesome Bronx event. Thanks to Principal Torres for a great opportunity to create new partnerships with local organizations. Big shoutouts to all of our volunteers and donors!! Thanks for your hard work, commitment and gracious donations.

Please join us while we participate in the annual Community Marching Resource Fair, organized by PS 55, tomorrow, Saturday. The event will take place in the school yard, rain or shine. We will offer freebies and information about our group. In order to raise funds to promote the dog run, we’ll be selling bandanas for $5.00, in orange and navy blue colors. Make it a family event, come and enjoy!

We offer our sincerest condolences for the loss of Squeak. As shared by his mom, “Squeak, a Guinea pig, 7 years old, liked lap time and carrots were his favorite treat. Little sister, Reina, a 3-year old Shepherd/Hound mix, liked stealing his carrot tops and sniffing him”.

Sparky, our Beige/Tan Shepherd Mix, was 11 years old when he passed away in December of 2020. He was loving, caring, kind, happy, and very energetic. He would always come running to greet you at the door. He would lay by your side when your were sick. He embraced every kitten and dog we ever fostered. He was our best friend. We definitely miss him. When Sparky was adopted from the ASPCA at about 5 months old, we lived in Queens, where we had access to a big yard and a local dog run. This allowed him to grow into a muscle-packed and healthy adult dog. We then moved to Harlem where he had access to a NYC Parks dog run. During most of his life, he was so happy to run around free and socialize with other dogs and people. Until we moved to the the South Bronx area. We soon realized that his lifestyle would be affected tremendously. Now, at age 9, most of his walks would be on a leash because there is NO DOG RUN in Crotona Park. It is heartbreaking to know that the last 2 years of his life weren’t his happiest years. He is our main reason we’ve been supporting the establishment of a dog run in Crotona Park. Although, Sparky won’t be able to enjoy it, perhaps his little brother, Pepper, and other neighboring dogs will. Thanks to all who have supported us in any way. Perhaps you follow us on Twitter or Instagram, like us on Facebook, or have donated to our GoFundMe campaign. It is all greatly appreciated and it is your support what has helped us to get noticed by our Bronx local officials. We are a small group of organizers, representing hundreds of community members who are supporting us in our collective effort to bring a dog run to Crotona Park. Big thanks!

This is an exciting initiative which provides homeowners in the South Bronx Community with the tools to start growing healthy and delicious food in their own home garden. Lex is a handsome and athletic 5 year old Pittie. He is a rescue and his dad taught him to bring his collar when he needs a walk. As his mom, puts it, “He plays with all dogs. His one failing is that he's a jumper! Don't give him too much eye contact unless you want a big wet one.” 😂😂

Ginger, she’s an 11 year old Shih Tzu. She goes to work everyday, except weekends. She accompanies her dad, who works remote from home. In the rare occasion when he doesn’t allow her into his office, she barks like a sergeant, until he does. While working, she’s in her best behavior. She doesn’t bark or make much noise especially during his meetings. She loves attention and likes to welcome everyone into the house, except the mailman. She’d rather him stay out, she won’t stop barking until he finally leaves.

Community volunteers do a walk-through at Crotona Park to select possible sites to build a dog run. After involving many dog owners in our community, we submitted our 3 preferred sites to the NYC Parks Department. We look forward to hearing NYC Parks' final decision.
