Taking your dog to their local dog-friendly coffee shop can be great for their socialization. An added bonus: they might get a tasty treat or pup cup out of it! Some dogs are more sensitive to lactose than others, so it's a good idea to start small and look out for signs of indigestion, such as:
☕ Nausea and vomiting
☕ Diarrhea
☕ Itching
If your pup is experiencing these symptoms, or you're concerned they may have lactose intolerance, reach out to your vet for answers!

Snow Day for Macy, the Bernese Mountain Dog
Macy is perfecting the art of ~camouflage~
Double-coated dogs like Macy are made for the snow! Their thick undercoat provides plenty of insulation, keeping them warm and fuzzy in the chilliest winter weather. Bernese Mountain dogs were originally bred to pull dairy carts through the Swiss alps in the cold, snowy winter. It is perfectly safe for double-coated pups to spend hours lounging outside as any dog would on a sunny day, as long as you keep checking in on them. Make sure you rug up your pups with thinner coats before taking them out!

Paw Language
I'm not crying YOU'RE crying 😭
This is true!! When your pup puts their paw on you while you're petting them, they're "expanding contact" and giving affection back to you. They also may be trying to communicate something else, such as:
💬 they want to play
💬 they want food
💬 they're in pain
💬 they're feeling anxious
Pay attention to your dog's expressions: are they tense? Are they an absolute floof puddle? Are they daring their eyes anxiously? Their body language helps give you additional context clues!

They're zoomin' so fast we can barely keep up! 😍 Their transformations are incredible but the process actually takes quite a while depending on the pet! First, they have to adjust to their prosthetic harness alone and then they can learn to walk (and run and jump!) with the prosthetic on. It can take a while but the transformation in their quality of life is so worth it
These guys all got their custom prosthetics from 3DPets, who also help other animals including ducks, turtles, and goats. A huge shoutout to them for caring so well for animals!! 🥰

Poppy's Favorite Things
Poppy still gets to do all of her favorite things 🌸 🤩
Poppy was paralyzed with IVDD, but that didn't stop her from living life to the fullest! IVDD is Intervertebral Disc Disease, a spinal disorder that occurs when an intervertebral disc herniates, which can result in compression or concussion of the spine. While some breeds are more vulnerable to IVDD than others, it affects about 2% of dogs.
After surviving IVDD, Poppy remains an explorer at heart. She loves running, whether that be zooming down her building hallway or rolling around in the grass. Rock on, Poppy!!

Petunia's new prosthetic
