It’s been almost 4 months since throat cancer has kept me from my hive duties. But I felt good and strong yesterday in the beautiful weather. And I was inspired by a wise and motivating old post from , so I threw on some swag for my first day back in the hives. The Girls were buzzing and looking good. It’s well past time and long overdue for a harvest. Get ready all my Hunny Bunnies because something SWEET is coming soon! My bees, my Family and I; THANK YOU ALL for your patience and support. I hope to see you all at the Green Markets really soon. I’ll keep you updated on our return.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, well wishes, positive energy and helpful advice.

We are happy to report that our always smiling, always energized, always helpful, always quick with a corny joke, favorite Bee Super Hero; Sean Malik Flynn, is halfway through his two month long daily radiation and Chemo treatments.

For all of us lucky enough to cross paths with him know; he is a super generous and giving soul. So we are happy to report that he is being super generous with the a*z kicking beat down he is giving this throat cancer.

He has held out for as long as he could and has finally made the heartbreaking decision to suspend our Farmers Market presence at NYBG, Pelham and Riverdale Y. Our Hive Tours and Bee Classes; as well as our free honey delivery service to Bronx and Harlem families have also been reduced or suspended.

To all our fellow Beeks, we are seeking helpful hands in checking on our Bee Hives throughout the Bronx and Manhattan. Our amazing buzzing girls are not getting their normal full attention and love they deserve and we deeply appreciate any help with inspections until Flynn is back up to his amazing self.

Again; we apologize for the disruption in service and hope you will all join us in supporting Flynn and his amazing Daughters and Bees through this most difficult, challenging and scary time.
