Ever wonder what cage-free boarding really looks like? 🐶✨

Cage-free boarding is something we believe in with our whole hearts.
Because when dogs stay with us, we want them to feel safe, understood, and completely free to be themselves. ❤️

One of the things we love most about our approach is the freedom it gives every dog to choose how they rest and relax. They can sleep wherever they feel the most comfortable — curled up on a bed, next to a buddy, or stretched out in their own cozy spot. And to make sure they always have options, we keep 50% more beds than dogs, so every pup has plenty of soft places to settle in. 🛏️🐾

Dogs get to buddy up, form little friend groups, nap together, and move around in a way that feels natural and calming for them. And anytime a dog needs a little reassurance, a break, or just some grounding affection, they know they can walk right over to a team member in the playfield for TLC, comfort, or a hug. 🤗💛

Our team is with them 24/7 — not just supervising, but truly caring.

Every year around this time, I take a moment to reflect on what truly matters. And every time, I come back to the same thing: none of this exists without you.

When I started Dan’s Pet Care back in 2009, I couldn’t have imagined the incredible community we would one day have. Families who trust us with their pets. Dogs who have grown up in our care. Clients who became friends. A team that pours their heart into this work every single day.

🐾 Meet Gunner — Looking for a New Forever Home ❤️

Gunner’s story is one that truly pulls at the heart.
This sweet 5-year-old purebred Beagle spent his life by the side of a loving woman in her 90s. He was her comfort, her shadow, her constant source of joy. When she recently passed away, Gunner lost the person he adored — and now he’s hoping for a new family to love just as deeply.

Gunner is incredibly well-mannered, calm, and gentle.
He’s fully house-trained, great with kids, friendly with all people and animals, and loves nothing more than being close to someone who cares. He enjoys backyard sniffing adventures, cozy naps, and plenty of cuddles. He’s also a little chunky from years of extra treats… and honestly, it just adds to his charm.

He’s up-to-date on all vaccines, has had consistent vet care, and has no health issues. He truly just needs a home filled with companionship, softness, and love.

Today was one of those “remind you why you love what you do” days.
From the moment the doors opened, it was pure joy, zoomies, play bows, cuddles, and a few dogs who decided to reinvent the laws of physics.
(Yes… one literally stood upright like a tiny furry human.)

What you’re seeing in these photos isn’t luck.
It’s the result of structure, supervision, and a team that cares enough to treat every dog like their own.
We build playgroups based on size, temperament, and energy so every dog gets the right mix of fun and safety.
Because real joy only happens when dogs feel secure, understood, and supported.

All day long we rotated indoor/outdoor play, enrichment, small-group intros, and one-on-one moments for the shy pups.
Our team was sweating, smiling, and covered in fur—and the dogs were living their absolute best lives.

Dogs don’t fake happiness.
If you see them having fun like this, it’s because they trust the environment and the people in it.

Thanks to every pet parent who gives us the privilege of spending days like this with their pups.
We don’t take it lightly.
