Toto, played by Terry, was a female Cairn Terrier who starred in the iconic 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz". Terry was born in 1933 and was trained by Carl Spitz, a renowned Hollywood dog trainer.

Terry's role as Toto was a significant one, as she was Dorothy's loyal and beloved companion throughout the film. Terry's performances were well-received by audiences and critics alike, and she became an instant celebrity.

Interestingly, Terry earned a whopping $125 per week for her work on the film, which was a substantial amount for a dog actor at the time. Terry's salary was even higher than that of some of the human actors in the film!

Sadly, Terry passed away in 1945 at the age of 12. Despite her passing, Terry's legacy lives on, and she remains one of the most iconic and beloved dog actors in Hollywood history.
