Ace is still accepting offers for his BEST forever home! Recently he went to the beach and while not a ""water dog"" he had a great time - he's such a good boy. We really can't believe he's been in rescue for 6 mos - he came to us at 8 weeks!! His 2 sisters were adopted and doing great, we don't know why someone hasn't scooped up this handsome boy.
Currently at a New England foster home, Ace is a pitty mix, now around 9 months old and would LOVE a playmate either furry or human - he is great with kids and loves the resident little boy! He is active and playful and all the good things you want in a companion. He would love another dog to play with and a kiddo or 2 - he loves them.
He is housebroken, fully vetted and knows his puppy basics. - Please help us find his forever family!

Looking for an active pup to keep you company in the garden or long walks - Suds is your guy! He is doing great in his NY foster home. Originally coming from Texas earlier this year, he is super fun and playful, he will actually play and keep himself busy and loves to explore. He is about 11 months old (almost 1 yr old) and very food motivated - which will hopefully be helpful with his puppy basics he needs to learn! He's currently around 40 lbs and still adjusting but we know he will be a perfect addition to a lucky family! Great with other dogs, kids and ok with cats - just curious 😊

Since I cannot add fostering to the mix, I have starting selling them to help the rescue, giving back a portion of sales like any of the fundraisers we do.

It's $5 Friday!
Meet our newest ACC Survivors - they are in ROUGH shape. Neglected, tiny and malnourished. Everyone will be settled with their foster homes soon, updated and wish lists will be posted. They need to QT right now to make sure in their fragile state they did not pick up anything from the shelter. Just because they are in crates does not mean we don't love them and want to give them all the hugs and kisses possible, but we have to be safe.
Your support to our mission of rescuing and rehoming these poor lost souls keeps us going. I know we keep saying that, but it is 10000% true! Any and all donations go directly back to the animals in our care. These little ones were not able to be altered prior to coming to us due to their condition, so that will be another added expense for us (7 alters).

Mama Roxie found herself is a scary situation, pregnant and on the streets of Dallas TX. But now she is living her best life in an upstate NY foster home. Roxie had a DNA test where we learned she was 37% husky (plus alot of other breeds!). She is just under 4 years old and learning how to just be a happy dog - she seems to really love men and would do great with an active young guy!
She is doing well learning the basics and is very smart - Roxie will make an amazing companion we know it!. She is good with other dogs and is a happy go lucky social girl. She would also prefer a kitty free house. Please help this Texas girl find her forever family and share her story!

From abandoned and surviving in a TX scrapyard to living his best foster dog life is Roscoe. Sadly, another one of our pups growing up in rescue, but he is totally ready for the next big step - a FOREVER HOME! If you're looking for a loyal, and playful new companion, look no further than Roscoe! Roscoe is currently in a Binghamton foster home and is an 9 month old custom Texas street dog mix! He is shy at first but warms up and is the best listener and loves to be included in all the fun - whether it's playing with other dogs, going on walks, or just hanging out with his human friends. As a foster I always get asked:

Isn’t it hard to let them go. I always reply it’s harder to let them die. (Hostile I realize)

Sadie is a black pittie puppy that came to Pibbles and More at three months old. Soon there after we realized she was deaf. That’s two strikes.

She was with us for almost a year. A PMAR alumni and already approved inquired about her. It was 10:30pm when I got a text from Saleena. I was like not today. I have to take it all in. When I spoke to Becca telling her how great Sadie is, I honestly thought this dog is great!! I should keep her.

We have two dogs. The more I keep the less I can foster.

Sadie has been with Becca for a few months.

Sadie hit a home run. Here is the text Saleena and I just got:

I just have to share how crazy proud we are of Sadie and how head over heels in love we are. She’s been handling her time in her kennel so well, and she’s getting more and more playful while always being so gentle and polite. She is gaining so much confidence, walking with us through campus and at the lake and through neighborhoods, charming anyone we come in contact with, and today we walked through some trails and up and down forested stairs and she just crushed it. She’s responding so well to signs and her wiggles when she wakes up or we return home have captured our hearts completely!! Thank you for all you do 🐾 ❤️

Ghost is back home, $1,036 later (hospitilization, meds, fluids, sedation, radiographs, office visit).
He is absolutely miserable, he isn't eating which he has to so he can take the pain meds so chicken and rice is on the stove.
He needs this surgery asap and we just want our crazy boy back!

Never a dull moment around here, Ghost was running around fine, playing with the other dogs/foster dogs. The next he was holding his leg up, he must’ve twisted it during play. We thought it would get better with some rest, but when his normally active self was laying down, not wanting to play and when he was not wanting to eat, we knew it must be bad.
He went to the vet yesterday and they kept him due to needing sedation for x-rays. Today they called to let us know the news – bad news =(
Ghost needs TPLO surgery on his rear left leg.
Google definition is “Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) is a surgical treatment used to stabilize the stifle joint when the Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CrCL) has ruptured. The CrCL is similar to the ACL in a human knee, but unlike in humans, the CrCL rarely ruptures from sudden trauma in an otherwise healthy ligament.”
This needs to happen rater quickly, and the surgery will be roughly $4,000 - $5,000. Ghost will be coming home today with pain meds and joint supplements. This is painful for him and we need this to be done as soon as possible. We need to help him, he is a young healthy dog (not even 1 ½ yr old yet) and we want him healed and pain free.

Rufus is a goofy, playful and happy 6 month old pitty mix, looking for his forever family. Currently with a foster home near Bradford VT, Rufus loves everybody and everything he’s encountered so far, loves all dogs and kids so much. He loves to play with his rope toy or his favorite squeaky stuffy. He is crate trained - no accidents and doesn't make a peep. He has started going to the door when he has to go potty.
He's working on his leash skills and doing well. Rufus would absolutely benefit with a playmate pup at his forever home - he loves to snuggle with his doggie housemates, more so than the people!
Over all, Rufus is a sweet couch potato who loves to play with his toys and snuggle with a furry buddy. Please help us find his people!

SO - interesting story, the x-ray showed no pups for Samantha! The vet said she could just be too early or had just HAD pups, which made the shelter feel that she was pregnant at the time she was brought in.
She has to return in one month to see what, if anything is going on and if no pups she will be spayed, evaluated and ready for adoption.

Either way all donations are of course going to her vetting and we will stay tuned to see 🤷‍♀️

Tucker has been enjoying a lazy summer at the lake - he loves to swim and chase the birds. He is a hilarious, friendly, and very affectionate young dog who loves to play, but is also good at taking time to relax and chew on a bone. He is shy at first but warms up and is the best listener and loves to be included in all the fun - whether it's playing with other dogs, going on walks, or just hanging out with his human friends. He has made leaps and bounds since coming to his upstate NY foster home and we are so proud of him! If you're looking for a funny, loyal, and playful new companion, look no further than Tucker!
