Milo living the dream: Fetching fun in the heart of Central Park!

Please remember during extreme heat it is vital you take your dog out early morning and mid evening for active play. Avoiding hours 10am-6pm.

Keep play shorter than normal and by hyper alert of any signs your furry loved one maybe showing. As it could be a sign of heat stroke.

Signs Your Dog is Overheating

1. Excessive Panting: Panting more than usual, with fast or heavy breaths, is one of the first signs of overheating.
2. Drooling: Excessive or thick, sticky drool can indicate your dog is too hot.
3. Increased Heart Rate: If you notice your dog’s heart rate is faster than normal, it could be a sign of overheating.
4. Red or Pale Gums: Gums that appear bright red or, in more severe cases, pale or grayish, can indicate heat exhaustion.
5. Weakness or Lethargy: Your dog may seem tired, sluggish, or unwilling to move around.
6. Vomiting or Diarrhea: Overheating can cause digestive issues, leading to vomiting or diarrhea.
7. Disorientation or Stumbling: If your dog appears confused, disoriented, or is having trouble walking, it may be suffering from heatstroke.
8. Collapse: In severe cases of overheating, a dog may collapse or lose consciousness.
9. Excessive Thirst: Drinking more water than usual could indicate your dog is trying to cool down.
10. Body Temperature: A dog’s normal body temperature is between 101°F and 102.5°F. A temperature above 104°F is dangerous and can lead to heatstroke.

If you notice any of these signs, it’s important to take immediate action to cool your dog down and seek veterinary care if necessary.

CityWags social media platforms and posts are meant to put a smile on people’s faces. We don’t do paid advertising and continue to grow organically. That being said - it is best to reach out to us via phone or email. As messaging us through any SM platform will have an unintentional long overdue response time. Apologies for any frustration this has caused for people in the past and current.

However, for the short-medium term we do not expect this to change.

CityWags strives on building a relationship not just with our furballs but their pet owners as well. Something difficult to achieve via SM messaging. Call us or our founder Adam old school but receiving an email, call and face to face is able to grab his attention span to respond promptly.

Thank you again for understanding.

Happy Wagging!

Finding laughter and love in the simplest moments with our best fur pals. 🐾💕

Captured a precious moment in the park today as two furry siblings, Luna and Tucker, took a break from their playful pawsome romp on the WSH to share a moment of pure joy under a shady bench.

Their infectious laughter and loving gazes truly remind us all of the beauty of and the bond shared between friends and siblings, both human and . Cherishing these moments of happiness and companionship forever. 🌳🐾 🐕 ❤️ 🐩
