🐾 Leashes = Love & Safety! 🐾

At Water4Dogs, we always emphasize the importance of keeping your furry friend on a leash. πŸ’™ Leashes help keep our pups safe, especially around new friends or an unfamiliar environment. Plus, they're key in protecting their recovering joints and muscles, allowing us to guide them through therapy safely and smoothly. 🦴✨️

Whether it's for a quick potty break, a walk around the clinic, or post-rehab support, keeping your pup leashed is a simple step to help them stay on track with their healing journey. πŸ•πŸŒ±

πŸ¦ƒπŸ‚ Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to celebrate, but let's not forget our furry friends' well-being during the festives! From all of us at Water4Dogs, here are 4 essential safety tips to keep your pet safe and healthy this holiday:

1. Keep the Feast Pet-Friendly πŸ—: Turkey bones and rich foods can cause digestive upsets. Stick to safety, vet approved treats instead.

2. Mind the Trash πŸ—‘: Pets are curious! Make sure scraps, packaging, and leftovers are securely disposed of to prevent accidents.

3. Safe, Calm Spaces 🐾: The hustle and bustle can stress some pets. Create a quiet, comfy space for them to relax.

4. Holiday Decor Caution πŸ•―: Keep small or scented decorations out of reach - they can be a hazard if chewed or ingested.

Wishing you and your four-legged friends a sage and joyful Thanksgiving! πŸ‚πŸ§‘

πŸŽƒπŸ‘» Halloween fun is just around the corner, but let's keep our rehab pups safe and comfortable! 🐾 Here are a few tips to protect your pets during spooky season, especially for those recovering or in therapy:

1️⃣ Skip the treats - candy can upset your pup's tummy, especially those on a special diet or post-surgery. Stick to healthy, rehab-friendly snacks 🍬🚫

2️⃣ Costume comfort - if your pup wears a costume, make sure it doesn't restrict movement or interfere with their therapy progress. Comfort and mobility come first! πŸŽ½πŸ•

3️⃣ Decorations & Safety - keep decorations like cords and candles out of reach. Pets with mobility challenges may be more prone to accidents around these hazards πŸ”₯⚑️

4️⃣ Quiet spaces - loud noises and visitors can stress pets out, especially those in recovery. Set up a quiet space where they can rest and feel secure πŸ‘πŸ’€

Have a safe, fun, and spooky Halloween from all of us at Water4Dogs Rehabilitation Center πŸŽƒπŸ¦΄
