🐾 Mulholland & Agent Cooper – From the David Lynch Kitten Clan! 🐾

Debuted at our adoption event on the day of David Lynch’s passing, these streetwise, scrappy boys gave their rescuer a pure run for her money. It took a month to catch them—savvy, spicy & downright mean at first, no one thought they’d ever be socialized. They were even ear-tipped, as we were all so sure that they’d return to the wild. But guess what? Their foster worked magic. 🪄✨

Now, these former tough guys are just about ready for adoption! Mulholland & Agent Cooper come from a litter of 4 kittens, the first of their pack to be ready for their forever homes. (Stay tuned—their 2 bonded siblings Sailor Ripley & Laura Palmer will be available soon!)

🖤 Mulholland (black kitten):
Once thought too feral for life indoors, he had his first pets & it was GAME OVER. Mulholland is now a certified velcro cat who comes running at the sound of your voice. He’ll collapse in front of you for loving, showing off his raspy smoker’s meow while demanding attention. This playful boy would thrive wonderfully with his brother, Agent Cooper, or another active kitty friend.

🧡 Agent Cooper (orange tabby):
Agent Cooper had a rough start—sick, congested & needing daily meds, he wasn’t sure about humans. But one thing won him over: FOOD. Churu & antibiotics worked their charm & now he enjoys petting on his own terms. He’s still learning that humans aren’t so scary, but he’s got a soft spot & some serious fascination with his foster’s dog. He would love a home with a doggy sibling to idolize or another playful cat (or, of course, Mulholland!).

These boys are looking for adopters who will let them continue blossoming at their own pace. While we’d love for them to go together, it’s not mandatory. Do you have any room left at the lodge? Update on Palmetto Colony Relocation

Who would expect that the "blind" cat will be the last to get trapped? Not us! The first cat - Lucio the Interloper (unneutered and new to the colony) was trapped on Feb 1. He was an easy and adorable target - young, hungry, and male (apologies for stereotyping). He is still waiting for a foster home as he shows great hope to be a pet! Anyone?

The next five (!!!!!) cats were trapped between the rain, snow storms ❄️ , construction projects 🚧 👷‍♂️ 🏗, and neverending discussions, whether KFC or sardiness are a superior bait. This question remains unanswered.

The "blind" senior Kotuś (named by the feeder) remained elusive. The weather was so bad that we wondered if he was still alive. The footage of a trail camera left overnight in a trap proved - he was! Yay! We invested in more sardiness (and fried chicken) we set four traps... have we mentioned we grew desperate?). We trapped (and promptly released)- a 🐀. This is New York City after all!

The very next day Kotuś entered the trap. He must have felt sorry for us.

Today Kotuś went to the vet - probably for the first time since he was neutered. Here in the scoop: Kotuś is at least 10 years old, has one tooth, and is very skinny. He also has entropion (malformed eyelids in which eyelashes rub against his eyes, causing pain and inflamation). Entropion can be remedied by surgery, which means he cannot be released anytime soon.

He is a sweet but feral cat, smart, shy, quiet, and never aggressive. His current foster can gently scratch him between the ears! He seems to like it. We would love him to find a longer-term foster home so we can arrange for his surgery and make sure he is ok to get relocated.

And yes, after years of living with entropion, his vision is not so great, but he gets around. And knows how to avoid traps 😺

Edie S. aka Groovy Girl, is ready for her furrever home! 💞

This 2 year old beauty, who was named after 1960s IT girl Edie Sedgwick ⚡️, was found hanging around the Bushwick Groovy Crew cat colony, but it was clear she wasn’t a street cat, as she was very trusting with humans. 🤗

After being taken in by WaGG to be neutered, vaccinated, and tested, she is ready for adoption 🏡. Edie is a stunning and sweet girl, who will win you over with her big green eyes. 💚💚

🦉🌳Misty isn’t just a kitten—she’s a delicate woodland creature come to life. With her deep brown eyes, framed by dark lashes and white liner, she has the gentle, knowing gaze of an owl peeking through the trees at dawn.

We love to love JB Punkin 💕

This little rascal is a cats cat. Six months old and full of adorable kitten energy, JB Punkin spends his days playing with and cuddling his foster cat siblings. While he can be a little shy around humans at first, he’s quick to warm up and is a snuggler. JB Punkin is a die hard fan of plastic spring toys - you can spot him slapping it around then carrying it over with him for nap time. Precious!

Stephen’s story is nothing short of incredible. Once a 100% feral street cat with an injured leg, he now spends his days curled up in laps, purring away & playing with his best friend, Weenz. 🐱💕

With a little patience, love & yes—a small assist from a Prozac prescription—Stephen has fully embraced life as a house cat. 🏡✨ His transformation wouldn’t have been possible without the compassionate couple who took him in & the amazing care of Dr. Loose at The Neighborhood Vet who handled his health care. Thank you, Dr. Loose 🙌

Meet Suffolk and Hampshire, bonded 10 month old brothers who love each other and their humans. ❤️💞

They set off on explorations and adventures together, always encouraging each other to seek out an mysterious corner or to get that pesky toy that rolled under the cabinets! Their fosters believe that they are 95% heart and 5% brain 😂, as they have jumped into a running shower, had their head stuck in a paper bag, and tried to sit in cardboard boxes that are way too small for them! 🥴👀

Hampshire (Grey spots, white tip tail): an athletic and energetic boy with a penchant for boxes and high places. He loves fetching springs and placing them neatly in boxes, sparring with Suffolk, and sleeping in various stretched out positions. 😴 He is definitely the silly one of the two; always up to some adventure whether it is exploring a closet or carefully watching TV for any birds or fish to appear. 🦜📺

Suffolk (Black spots, black tail): an immediately friendly boy; he isn’t as energetic as his brother but will readily participate in playtime or adventures with Hampshire. He also loves curling up near his humans to get scritches on his cheek and ear 💞. A champion purrer and the one who does most of the talking between the two! Though both love human attention and follow their fosters from room to room, Suffolk is the brave one who will lead the charge towards unfamiliar spaces or people. 💪🏻

An update on our senior community cat relocation project - despite many setbacks (construction activity, noise, relocations of shelters and feeding stations, and absolutely awful weather) - we managed to trap 5 cats. Three of them are in their new backyards (in large cages and shelters), one is in custody waiting for a vet appointment, and another is in custody waiting for an experienced foster/socializer.

Please wish us luck and let us know if you can help with transport, lending a huge (48") cages, or gift certificates to KFC (just kidding).

🗣️Meet Yapper – The Playtime CEO 💼

We cannot fathom how Yapper is still in foster care—she is literally the whole package. This one-year-old black-and-white queen (with a lil splotch on her nose and the sweetest upside down heart on her muzzle!!!) is ready to fly: wanna make her dreams come true?

Despite the name, Yapper is not out here giving TED Talks—she only meows when it’s time to eat or when she’s demanding you play with her (and trust us, she will bring you her toy mouse like a tiny, dramatic huntress). Her zoomies? Olympic level. Her purrs? ASMR-worthy. Her vibe? 💯

Once she’s done with her zoomies, Yapper turns into your little shadow, following you like a fan account. She’s not quite a lap cat yet, but she wants to be near you, basking in your presence like a cat influencer soaking up the engagement.

Yapper deserves a home with someone who loves an affectionate, chaotic-good bestie who will bring entertainment and cuddles. She’s friendly with guests, full of main-character energy, and always down for a play session or a snack break.

Meet the very stylish, very black-tie ready Judy.🖤🤍

She’s 10 months old and full of love, energy and purr-sonality. 🤍🖤

This little looker is incredibly affectionate and always excited to see her humans. She runs to the door to greet her fosters the moment they come home, ready for pets and playtime.🖤🤍

Though she has an independent streak, she loves attention when she’s in the mood, and at night, she turns into a total cuddle bug. Just last night, she tried to sleep on her foster’s head!🤍🖤

Judy has tons of energy and gets easily distracted, so it can be tricky to pet her for more than 30 seconds before she dashes off after something interesting. When it’s time to settle down, she’s right there with you. 🤍🖤

She isn’t a velcro cat, but she does enjoy affection. And she doesn’t meow, she squeaks!🖤🤍

Judy’s ideal home would be one that can give her plenty of playtime and engagement. She would do great with another young, energetic cat as her playmate, but she could also thrive as a solo cat (as long as she gets enough attention from her humans). 🤍🖤

She absolutely loves all toys (seriously, all of them) and goes crazy for freeze-dried tuna treats. She also enjoys sitting by the window, gazing outside even when the birds have flown south for the winter. 🖤🤍

This adorable girl is ready to find her forever family, but until then, her fosters are ready to keep soaking up all her cuteness. 🤍🖤

Introducing purr machine, Apricot!

Seven months old and raring to go, this girls got charisma. Apricot looooves attention from all sources cat and human, and is a real star of the show. She’s energetic, confident, and playful - best seen when she is playing with a feather toy or tackling a catnip mouse. Apricot adores snuggles and then loves a high up perch for a good nap. She still has kitten energy and gets up to plenty of mischief, but it’s the most lovable kind. She is a huge fan of people and a moderate fan of cats, and would do well in any home with a cat lover.
