Cerebellar Hypoplasia Kitten Needs a Home!Toby Woodpecker was rescued in Gravesend Brooklyn after being left all alone by his mother & sibling kittens. He’s safe with us now, but he is ready to be loved by his own people. Cerebellar Hypoplasia or “CH” is also known as “Wobbly Cat” syndrome. It's caused by the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance, coordination & fine motor skills not developing properly. CH is not contagious or painful & it doesn't get worse with age.5-month old Toby is looking for a loving home where he has access to a low sided litter box, an occasional bath & a whole lot of cuddles. Bonus: a resident cat who will reciprocate grooming. Toby is napping a lot for now, but he’s been tested, neutered & given the all clear. All he needs now is a loving home. 💗Could you be the one who gives Toby Woodpecker a life of love & snuggles? Please let us know by heading to the ✨Link in Bio✨ at @whiskers_agogo to fill out an adoption application! And if you know someone looking to open their hearts to a kitten with a few special needs, please send them some Woodpecker kisses by hitting the share button! 💌
🐾Clover is a brave little warrior princess with a heart full of love!🐾
This brave 1-year-old kitty fell (or perhaps jumped) from a building window & was brought to the shelter by a kind-hearted samaritan. Clover needed surgery to wire & repair her jaw, which was skillfully done by Dr. Loose last week. After spending a few days under Dr. Loose's care at The Neighborhood Vet, she is now on the mend with a #WaggCats foster.
But her journey isn't over yet. Clover also needs physical therapy for her brachial plexus injuries & will be going back for a checkup + jaw wire removal mid-month. Despite all she's been through, Clover is absolutely bursting with love, affection & headbutts! 😻
We want to extend our heartfelt THANKS to Dover’s Chair for their generous microgrant. Their support helped us continue our mission to provide essential medical care to cats like Clover. 💖

We got an urgent call from a Whiskers-a-GoGo former adopter after a feral showed up with a hurt leg. They had just moved into a new house & discovered a yard full of feral cats. While neighbors were feeding them, they decided to go the extra mile & get them TNR’d (trapped/neutered/released). They set up a feeding station with a Google Camera to monitor their feline visitors. One night, a male tabby named Stephen appeared with a severe limp.
After a nerve-wracking wait, Stephen was successfully trapped using our loaned trap. We took him to the NYC ASPCA for neutering & an overall check-up. When no superficial wounds were found on his paw, they recommended x-rays. Thankfully, The Neighborhood Vet came to his rescue & discovered that Stephen had a broken leg.
Sir Stephen is now recovering at his rescuers' home, where they are very dedicated to his care. He's still 100% feral & not interested in being touched. However, at only around 1 year old, there's still SOME hope that he can be socialized. He's given some blinky eyes—whether out of thankfulness or the pain relief, we're not sure, but we're still hopeful (or crazy, but please don’t answer that)!
Have you ever successfully domesticated a feral cat? Share your tips for Stephen’s caretakers in the comments!
We trapped a bunch of kittens and adult cats this morning and we need help with socializing the little ones. We prefer north Brooklyn, western Queens based fosters, as the kittens will require boosters and deworming treatments over the next few weeks. The kittens are hissy and scared. They eat on their own. Martini went home today. He will be missed by his foster mom and volunteers at adoption events. Martini is purry, Angelic , melting into anyone who holds him. He loves being brushed, held, pet. Martini has cerebellar hypoplasia which makes him wobbly. Other than drunken cat walk, he is perfectly normal happy cat, maybe more affectionate and sweet than "normal', anyway.
Have a good life, sweet Martini. You are missed.
Btw, we have a new cerebellar hypoplasia kid named Whiskey. Stay tuned!

This is Martini. Martini has cerebellar hypoplasia (Google it). He is supercute, 3 years old, neutered and awesome. He came from @NYCACC . Martini uses litter box like a champ and his fave thing is to get brushed and snuggle with his human. #waggcats
