MEET THE CO-AUTHOR- Nataliya Bellony, is a Bulgarian national who was born in Lovech, north central region. She studied in Sofia at the National High School of Visual Art and in 1997 she went to the USA to continue her studies and stayed there. Now she is a visual arts teacher in Brooklyn, NY.
Nataliya is married with three sons, two of whom are already in college. She lives in an apartment with her two Bulgarian dogs, Benji and Shara, two cats and a sparrow bird (all are rescues). She jokes- ‘If I adopt one more my husband will move out!’
Although she lives in the US Nataliya never forgets the many abused, abandoned and neglected animals in Bulgaria. She is instrumental in creating a small but vital charity group in her home town- ‘Little Paws of Lovech’ is a team of dedicated volunteers who rescue, rehome and fight to improve the lives of stray cats and dogs in the area. Nataliya is an admin.
