City Veterinary Care is committed to all of New York City's dogs and cats. We operate a non-profit organization, The Toby Project, whose objective is to solve New York City's pet overpopulation problem which claims the lives of approximately 45,000 dogs and cats each year in our City's shelter system.

Please help us welcome Dr. Monopoli to the City Vet Doctor Dream Team ✨💕. Here is a bit about her :
Dr. Marissa Monopoli grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where her path to veterinary medicine was carved at a young age as a volunteer marine mammal rehabilitator. She studied Zoology and Italian at The Ohio State University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then returned to California to complete her studies at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where she was president of the Student Veterinary Emergency Response Team. She graduated with honors, and published multiple research studies pertaining to avian medicine. After veterinary school, Dr. Monopoli completed a one-year rotating internship in general medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. Dr. Monopoli’s particular interests include radiology, ophthalmology, and wellness. She recently moved to Brooklyn, where she lives with her blind cat, Stevie. In her free time, you can find Dr. Monopoli roller skating, practicing yoga, cooking, and exploring the city.

We all love Nipsy!! This super sweet, low key gentleman was brought to City Vet by @harlemanimalrescue for care from a very severe neglect situation. Superstar dog whisperer @gooddogsnyc has been working with him and our nursing staff is in love with him!! He needs a home and would be a very good companion. He lived with cats and children and is fine with dogs. Please share ❤️ and message us to come and meet him!
