MY HUSBAND, WHO EARNS LESS THAN ME, FORCED ME TO TAKE A SECOND JOB — SO I CHOSE ONE THAT WOULD TEACH HIM A LESSON.

So, in our family, I'm the one who makes more money! But my work schedule is way tougher. I work from 8 AM to 7 PM with only two days off. Meanwhile, my husband is a mechanic. His job is hard, but he gets 3-4 days off a week.

Recently, when we decided we wanted to upgrade our car and buy a new one, he told me I needed to get a SECOND JOB because my work is so easy and I don't get as tired as he does (I work remotely from home).

I asked him why he didn't want to find a second job, and he said, "Because then I'd miss bowling with my friends!" SERIOUSLY!?

Well, fine! He wanted me to find a second job? Fine, I found one, but I wasn't sure HE'D LIKE IT.

I FOUND A HIDDEN ROOM IN OUR BASEMENT—I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I FOUND OUT WHO SET IT UP AND WHY.

A few weeks after we settled into our new house, I got this weird call while my husband was at work. The number was unknown.

ME: HELLO?

HER: YOU DON’T KNOW ME, BUT YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR BASEMENT. THE DOOR WILL OPEN IF YOU PUSH THE FIFTH BRICK TO THE RIGHT OF THE WOODEN CABINET.

And then she just hung up. I was creeped out, but curiosity got the best of me. I headed straight for the basement, counted the fifth brick, and pressed it. Sure enough, A HIDDEN DOOR SWUNG OPEN BEHIND ME.

MY UBER DRIVER TURNED OUT TO BE MY MOM'S EX – WHEN HE SAW MY WRIST, HE TOLD ME A TRUTH I WAS NOT READY TO HEAR

I was running late for my friend's birthday party downtown, so I called an Uber to get me there. I chose to pay cash, and if I hadn't, my trip could have turned out so much differently. The driver was quiet the whole ride, but when he parked near my friend's place, he turned to me and froze for a second.

"Wow, you look just like the girl I dated in college…"

I smiled awkwardly, searching for my wallet in my purse. As soon as I found it, I handed the driver a bill. Instead of taking it, he gasped, his eyes glued to my wrist. MY DIL THREW AWAY THE BIRTHDAY CAKE I MADE FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER – MY SON'S REACTION SHOCKED ME EVEN MORE.

I am a good baker, I enjoy making sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.

But my DIL, Emily, suddenly started having an issue with it—particularly anything with sugar. She's obsessed with "healthy eating," and while I respect that, her disdain for everything I bake has been a constant thorn in my side.

Last week, it was my granddaughter's 7th birthday. I spent hours making her favorite cake—chocolate with buttercream frosting, decorated with flowers and sprinkles. I knew she'd love it. Everything was going fine until Emily came over earlier and I could feel the judgment rolling off her.

Emily: "Oh...you're really serving this? All that sugar?"

I SPENT MY PROM DRESS MONEY TO HELP A HOMELESS MAN — THE NEXT DAY, HE SHOWED UP AT PROM WITH A LUXURY GIFT
I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was on the bus, on my way to buy my dream dress. The pink one where I'd finally feel like a princess. My mom and grandma had saved up for a long time, and I held the envelope of cash tightly in my hands...
It all started when two workers from the bus station got on at the next stop. They singled out an elderly man, dressed in shabby clothes. He looked so helpless, especially when the two big guys demanded a fine from him.

SWEET LADY FEEDS LOCAL KIDS FOR FREE – WHEN A NEIGHBOR TRIED TO KICK HER OUT, THE UNBELIEVABLE HAPPENED

We have a football field near our house where all the local kids go to play on the weekends. In the district, there are families with drastically different incomes. Every Saturday, this sweet lady who lives down the street makes homemade lunch for the kids to enjoy after playing. This way, no one has to go home; they can grab a hot dog from her and continue playing.

She is pretty lonely. I’ve never seen her family visiting her or any new cars parked near her house. So, I guess this little tradition lets her enjoy the bubbly and active company of local kids, who got attached to her over the summer and would come to ask how she was doing.

Last Saturday, the guy next door had enough of the “loud noises” and “weird smells” around his house and came out to cause a scene. While the kids were playing and the lady was setting up the table, he came up to her, threatening to call the police if her “crazy parties” continued. A few hours later, he regretted this decision with his whole soul. What happened.....
