LOOKING FOR A FUN-LOVING, HIGH ENERGY SIDEKICK??! EGGSY THE KITTEN MIGHT BE YOUR PERFECT MATCH!

Eggsy strolled into our lives on a cold November day flea infested, mangy, and starving, likely a basement or bodega cat who lucked into a great escape.

This almost 1 year old boy is now neutered, FIV/FeLV neg, vaxxed, healthy, and thriving in his foster home! But now it’s time that he is matched up with his forever family! Please step up if you have the time and space for a playful, energetic, wild man who needs a ton of enrichment! Or if you have a young cat looking for a buddy, we think he could love this! He is sweet, so much fun to have around, and is just absolutely the best!!

A little bit about Eggsy from his foster dad:

- Energetic!! Likes attention and wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing — sleeps next to his computer while he works, sniffs food as he is cooking, and plays with laundry as it’s folded in true cat fashion.
- Cuddly!! But on his terms of course (kittens have things to do and places to go!)
- Super playful: loves wand toys and chasing things, will fetch balls and springs, attacks stuffed toys, loves catnip, likes being chased & will chase you, loves hunting toys through his favorite tunnel
- Early riser: Wakes up early & likes to be fed right away!
-Does NOT like closed doors (will scratch)- if you need to close any doors in your home this kitten is not for you!

We are reaching out for urgent support to continue our mission of rehabilitating and finding forever homes for the NYC cats who need us the most. We’ve come to a critical point where we need help to renew our lease and sustain our operations.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP:
• Urgent Lease Renewal: Our lease is up for renewal this month, and without the necessary funding, we risk losing the space where we provide care to dozens of cats in need.
• Ongoing Medical Care: We love our seniors and take pride in our dedication to getting every cat set up with a treatment plan so they can experience high quality of life and transition to a home even if special needs. We are currently treating many chronic conditions, CKD, congestive heart failure, hyperthyroidism, rhinitis, IBD, and asthma just to name a few. The financial challenges are becoming overwhelming.
• A New Year of Hope: With your support, we can continue to save even more cats in 2025, giving them the fresh start they deserve. And we need more time to find special needs homes for most of our current flock!

Goodbye Hank!!

Our favorite shy, crinkle-eared boy has been whisked off to his forever home! Hank suffered on the streets for 8 years and was sick and shut down. We promised him we would cure his chronic ear infections and now 10 vet visits and hundreds of ear cleanings later, he is a new cat, He has become the most loving and bravest boy and we are so honored to be part of his transformation. 🥹

We have been so busy that we forgot to announce some very exciting adoptions from this summer!! 📣

Our super shy girl Hoot is now home. Despite growing up on the streets, turns out she was made for spoiled house cat life! ✨ Watching her heal and grow during her time at Ollies and finish her transformation at home has been such a pleasure!! Wishing Hoot and mama the best!!

We have been so busy that we forgot to announce some very exciting adoptions from this summer!! 📣

First is our dear former feral Flopper. Seven years of socializing and rehabilitation and look at her now! She met her perfect match and that special love has helped her complete her transformation at home the past few months💕. Just like we knew it would.

I think all of our volunteers would agree that Flopper is our crowning achievement and proof that ANY cat can get there with patience and determination. And proof that no matter how wild, they relish in the comfy home life and are simply craving love.

Congrats Flopper and mama!

One of our volunteers found a very friendly cat on the fire escape (2nd floor) on 12th Street (south side) between Second and Third Avenue, on the evening of October 19th. No collar or microchip. 👏🏽👏🏽for all the Ollie’s adoptions we forgot to announce so far in 2024!

For those of you who met this batch of kitties you probably saw them when they had seen better days and had lost some of their spark. Hope was barely a glimmer amidst goopy eyes, rough fur, infected ears, bout after bout of stomatitis, countlese dentals, pills, syringes, and more pills 😩, bite gloves and screaming during meds 🩸 (you know who you are 🤠, 🧡🤎), nail biter health emergencies, hiding, and shelter fatigue/depression. Their journies have been long and exhausting (these are not spring chickens)- for them and everyone involved.

We will always be completely incredulous at the transformations these brave creatures make partially under our care and then fully with their forever humans. Here are the moments we live for, enjoy!!

This is exactly how lives are saved- a moment of blind compassion followed by support from NYC’s incredible cat loving community! 💪🏼💰

❤️🐞Please help one of our volunteers who spur of the moment snatched up this sad angel, Ladybug a few weeks ago. 🐞❤️

Thanks to her selfless rescuer and her loving foster, Ladybug’s rehabilitation has been incredible- coming out of her broken shell a little bit? ☑️ earmites treated? ☑️ years of suffering on the cold, mean streets, completely behind her? ☑️ bloodwork and vetting? ☑️

But she needs a serious dental ASAP for this glow up to be complete and the first $800 raised was used up in her initial transports, care, and vetting 😿. Imagine how long her mouth has been full of rotting, infected teeth- and the answer would for years to come had she not been rescued! 😖

Any little bit you can contribute will take her one step closer to forever home life!!
