Another fond farewell and hearty thank you to summer intern Olive, who worked with us for a month via the Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund fellowship! The Red Hook Farms team went to visit our good friends at to learn more about their incredible youth centered food scrap microhauling and composting program. We gleaned much from this visit on how they work with the magic of microbes to process local food scraps into a beautiful resource that helps address environmental justice issues in their community. 🌞We’re hiring two part-time seasonal positions:
1. 🔪Chef Educator: $28/hr, 8 hours/week - running culinary workshops at our Friday morning free farm stand at the NYCHA farm.
2. ⛏️Farm Assistant: $20-22/hr, 21 hours/week - all manner of farm tasks including planting, weeding, harvesting, and composting. Entry-level position.
