Taffy is such a fun pup - part athlete, and part comedian, she’s smart, social, and always ready for an adventure.

And while she brings all that happy husky energy every day, she’s also been waiting at the shelter for much longer than any dog should have to. Taffy is beautiful and loving, and she deserves more than a kennel. She deserves a home, a family, and the chance to finally feel like she belongs.

Meet Heidi, our Foster Monday star and self-appointed ruler of the household. Heidi sadly lost her owner unexpectedly, which landed her in the shelter. After spending a full year in a home, the shelter life was not her vibe. It was overwhelming, confusing, and honestly beneath a queen of her status.

Heidi is affectionately known as "Heidi McBitey" - not because she's mean, but because she enjoys expressing affection through gentle love bites (think: "I love you, but also... respect me"). These are her way of testing boundaries, communicating, and keeping you humble. She will absolutely keep you on your toes in the most loving, entertaining way, and you'll never, ever have a dull day with her around.

If you've ever laughed at those cute, chaotic, funny cat videos on Youtube or Instagram and thought, "I want a cat like that," congratulations - Heidi is that cat. She's full of sass, opinions, and main-character energy. Life with Heidi is part comedy show, part learning experience, and part royal companionship.

Adorable Savannah is 10-months-old, ridiculously sweet, and has already traveled all the way from Georgia in search of her person. And honestly? She looks like the kind of dog we all grew up loving.

Big Scooby Doo energy. Goofy. Loyal. Playful. The kind of dog you imagined curled up at your feet, riding shotgun on adventures, and having your back just because that's who she is.

Before dogs became "designer" and accessories, this was the dog. The one in movies and cartoons. The one who loved their family with their whole heart and didn't need a trendy name or a price tag to be considered desirable.

Meet Melissa - a bright, bouncy pup who’s still figuring out the world and doing it with a whole lot of enthusiasm. She’s high-energy, loves to stay busy, and would thrive with plenty of enrichment and playtime to help her burn off that happy wiggle energy.

Cora was adopted as a puppy and has grown into an extremely friendly, happy girl who truly loves being around people. She plays well with well-matched dog friends, is house-trained, and always ready for affection (especially if it involves her rolling over for pets).

Manuel has been with us for a long time, and we’re really hoping he find his family soon. He’s a sweet boy with a big personality, and his time in foster care gave us a great picture of the fun, loving companion he can be at home.

In foster care, Manuel was playful, curious, and loved chasing toys and exploring his space. He also enjoyed his downtime, whether that was relaxing on the couch, watching the world from the window, or hanging around his people just to stay close.

Now back at the shelter, Manuel is still the same friendly boy, just waiting for someone to notice him. Because he can sometimes get overstimulated, he’d do best with a cat-savvy adopter who understands feline cues. He would also love a home where he can be the one and only kitty.

For a long time, Flora watched the world from the sidelines. When she first came to us, she was unsure, quiet, and happiest tucked away where things felt safe. But something beautiful has happened over time, and these days, she’s becoming more confident every day. 💛

With lots of patience and kindness, she’s learned that people can be friends. Now you’ll find her playing with her human pals, enjoying pets on her own terms, and showing off her sweet, curious personality. After spending so long in the shelter, seeing her come out of her shell has been incredibly special.

Flora would do best with a cat-savvy adopter who understands that trust is earned, and once you have it, it’s everything. We know in a calm, loving home, she’ll continue to blossom even more.

At 7 years old and 57 lbs, this queen has perfected the art of rest. She is the Princess of Sleep, ruling her kingdom with long naps, cozy cuddles, and the occasional dramatic sigh. Wrinkles is a truly sweet girl who loves to snuggle and be near her people. She does have a bit of a vocal and stubborn streak (every royal has opinions), and she can be sensitive with handling—plus she’s not a fan of the vet… but honestly, who is?

Overall, she’s a loving, gentle soul who just wants a comfy place to nap, someone to cuddle with, and a human who understands that royalty likes things her way 💕

These are just some of the recent comments that have been circulating about 2-year-old adoptable kitty, Doc!

This incredibly sweet boy was recently rescued from a loading dock, where, in order to gain access to the kind person who was feeding him, he had to walk through broken glass and various construction debris. It was a dangerous situation and we’re so glad that Doc was rescued and brought to safety - particularly cause this guy is a big lovebug!

Now he’s ready for a home where he can cuddle, explore, and experience all the safety and love he deserves. ❤️ Meet Doc at our Chlesea location!

If you’ve ever been to one of our events, there’s a good chance you’ve met Boo Boo - he’s so well-behaved that he’s the perfect candidate to join us. He’s a staff and volunteer favorite who seems to be everywhere we are, and yet, somehow, always ends up heading back to the shelter.

Boo Boo is great with people, enjoys spending time with other dogs, and even has regular playdates with his canine friends. He knows his commands, is eager to learn, and truly loves connecting with everyone he meets. He’s the kind of dog who makes everyone feel like a friend, even if he hasn’t found his forever one just yet.
