As the weather begins to get nicer and you take your kiddos to a local pond or lake to feed the ducks and geese, please keep this bit of info in mind.🙏🙏🙏
Another FYI
Feeding bread causes permanent damage to ducks and geese. They develop angel wing. They can not migrate or fly to avoid predators. PLEASE DO NOT FEED BREAD to ducks and geese. Cracked corn, corn, peas, mealworms, romaine lettuce, watermelon, grapes CUT into pieces, cantaloupe……are a few good options!

Once in a while, I'll get a buddy that reminds me why I started grooming in the first place. At first sight, people think, 'if you can't take care of your dog then you shouldn't have one'. And in most cases, I agree. But, one cannot be prepared for what life throws at you. Did Nena's dad know he would get Parkinson's and put on a fixed income?! I doubt it. Despite being dirty and matted, Nena is well fed, teeth look great and has the sweetest demeanor. Eventually, if dad didn't find help, Nena would end up at the shelter. This is where I step in. 🐾 While volunteering at shelters, I noticed a pattern of elderly people on fixed incomes forced to surrender their dogs because they couldn't find help. I taught myself to shave down dogs and started to do them for free. I became their dog's personal assistant. Take them to get spay/neutered, get their vaccines etc. This is the lane I created for myself. And I thank every pet parent that elevated me to the groomer I am today.
