Kai Muller, malinois breeder and trainer from Germany:

"I work 7 days a week with different breeds of dogs. 6 days a week I work defense anyway. And I can only say one thing is that the versatile character traits in breeds are increasingly erasing. 99% of the dogs I work on are increasingly showing (different breeds) the same behavior.

Individual characteristics are no longer available in NO, boxer, Doberman, Riesenschnauzer. You can say so - if you know one breed - you know everything. Of course, there are differences. The German Shepherd is either ill or neurotic, the boxer can only jump around and grab the prey a little bit, because of his short muzzle he can not do a normal search, normal apportation, or normal clapping or grabs. Spoiled by a divorce! It didn't pass a Rottweiler either. Shame on FCI from my point of view. Doberman actually turned into a clown during interceptions. It is extremely rare to meet a normal animal. Dogs are often fearful or nervous. To me, this whole thing is animal cruelty which I do not condone. I must force the dog to bite my sleeve, when this dog prefers to lay on the couch in front of a fireplace, which has no genetics and is more like a spoiled child.

How many lazy breeders do you think will be sucked out if they instead of 20 min. would they have to work 20-30 hours a month with their dogs in order to get a divorce permit? But in this case, the dog would load up and get away!

For me, as a breeder, “natural” selection means the following:
- if a dog has a bad appetite, it has nothing to do in divorce;
- if the dog has problems with the immune system (no matter what) - it has nothing to do in divorce;
- if a dog has no attachment to a person, is prone to vagabonding - such a dog has nothing to do in divorce;
- a dog is unable to protect his pack, his home due to genetic problems (and not because he is not trained to do so) - such a dog has nothing to do with breeding.
- dogs that are not willing to jump, are afraid/don't like water, aggressive dogs etc. d... "(end of quotation).

You can argue about working divorce (and people argue), compare the average life expectancy and disease statistics. To be fair, it's not nearly as bad as the breeders fans say it is. Today we have many excellent representatives, striking "mind and ingenuity" coupled with great health. The most interesting things start outside the sports grounds, in the show rings. Here, hold on tight and prepare to be amazed.
