Dog training has come a long way with regards to harsh methods or aversive methods to get our dogs to obey.

are banned in many countries. We in the USA are way behind. The science of positive reinforcement training, is real and is the best way to learn about humane treatment of the dogs we love so much.

Causing pain in training dogs is never an option when we can train without it. It’s laziness on the part of humans and trainers. We do better when we know better.

Why, yes! I am ready to learn about mat work! mix Mia is a super smart, very enthusiastic girl who is improving her impulse control skills and more! She loves learning new behaviors and has an amazing attention span. She is really learning how to be polite to guests and to give people some space!

Balanced dog training using positive reinforcement (rewards-based) methods and aversives (physical punishment) is no better than simply using force-free positive methods and love.

It's okay to ask a dog trainer what their credentials are - and you should expect them to have some, whether it's a degree or a certification. Safe and effective dog trainers are constantly learning, not just through experience, but by seeking out education.
