Treating critical care patients is an essential part of our mission—one that often happens behind the scenes. While we typically share photos of animals who are ready for adoption, the reality is that we’re constantly caring for and funding the medical needs of animals who require critical care. These precious animals, who come to us from Good Samaritans, individuals who cannot afford their medical bills, and other shelters, need life-saving procedures and surgeries, which can cost thousands of dollars.We almost always have multiple critical care patients at any given time, making this our biggest ongoing expense. This vital work happens all year long, 12 months out of the year, whether or not we’re fundraising or sharing their stories online.Today, we’re asking for your support. Your generosity helps us continue to save the lives of these animals that need us most. You can make a difference for animals like Hokey and Tinkerbelle by donating to this fundraiser. Over 1000 kittens!
Yes friends, Sean said over 1000 kittens. And each precious one needs us to survive. From basic needs like feeding to more serious health issues like upper respiratory infections and injuries that are often life-threatening. It isn't easy and the costs add up but with the support of our community we are dedicated to continuing our life-saving work.
This is just a part of our daily work. In addition to kittens, we also care for cats, puppies, dogs, lizards, snakes, turtles, birds, guinea pigs, and the list goes on - each with different needs.
