Twenty Paws Rescue, a 501c3 non-profit, located in NY rescues dogs and cats from all walks of life. We work with NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA, and RI.

Twenty Paws Rescue has one common objective and passion. Every day they strategize and devise plans to battle an ongoing epidemic plaguing our streets, the abundance of forgotten homeless, abused, and surrendered animals from every kind of background. Twenty Paws, a small rescue, is only able to bring their ambitious dreams to fruition by an exceptional and dedicated team composed of volunteers an

d fosters. Working tirelessly and within their means, Linda, Rachel, and the Twenty Paws’ team combine their boundless devotion to provide all Twenty Paws angels with exceptional foster life and vet care until they find a forever home. Even though the Twenty Paws focuses primarily on the “bully” breeds, they are not a breed specific rescue. Twenty Paws provides refuge and unconditional love to dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, s*x, and temperament. Linda and Rachel strive to provide all Twenty Paws animals and families with the ideal match and safest environment possible. Furthermore, they have the strength inside to fight every minute. Until every shelter cage is empty, Twenty Paws will continue to be their voice. Twenty Paws Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All donations to the rescue are tax-deductible.

🚨FOSTER NEEDED🚨 This is Joe Urgent Rescue Plea for Joe!

Joe is a 5 year old boy desperately in need of rescue. He’s battling anemia, dehydration, and parasites, and while he’s receiving medical treatment, he’s not gaining weight in the shelter. This sweet pup needs a safe space to heal and thrive before it’s too late.

🚨URGENT🚨Foster needed! This poor little baby boy was brought into yesterday. He was willingly & purposely left in a crate and abandoned in an apartment where the previous owners moved out leaving him behind. We have no idea how many days/weeks he was therebefore being discovered by a cleaning crew 😔. It was long enough that this poor boy’s ribs are showing. How can people be so cruel to someone so helpless? If you fall on hard times there are resources, people that want to help. Alert someone you’ve left the dog behind. 💔

Sadly by state law, this boy needs to be placed on a stray hold, despite being purposely abandoned. We want to be there to free him the minute 7 days is up.

For now his name is Chip, and we’re ready to give him the second chance he deserves. A better life. If you can foster please comment, DM, or apply at the link in bio.

Oat the Goat has been with us since June and still crossing some medical hurdles! Please consider donating to his care.

Oat is 12 yrs old, 6 lbs of s***k and sass. He’s been a resilient old man undergoing many tests. Our goal is to get him MUCH needed dental surgery.

On his journey to be cleared for surgery he had to see a cardiologist (all clear!) and a pulmonologist. He does have some respiratory issues but is on meds.

Next up is his dental surgery. He will need anesthesia at a hospital that can give him the special care he needs due to his age. He has chronic pain so this dental surgery cannot be avoided.

He is available for adoption the home will also need to be willing to take on his dental. DM us, comment, or apply at the link in bio if interested.

Introducing Chance✨This 4 yr old, 82 lb boy is settling into his new foster home in PA where he is in a board and train program.

Handsome as can be, Chance was surrendered by his owners to his local vet. The owners didn't know what to do and asked he be euthanized. The staff saw his potential and contacted one of our team members. Well, we knew we had to help him! His foster— a dog trainer— is giving him a second *chance.*

Right now, he is doing great in foster and training. It will be a bit before he is adoptable, but we’ll keep everyone posted on his progress.

Big strong dogs like Chance need love, patience, and dedication. He's an absolute joy and earned the nickname 'Sunshine'. Well, here is to a brighter year, Chance. May it always be filled with smiles as bright as yours. We hope everyone has a 2025 filled with Sunshine.

Meleys update! This sweet girl is doing great in foster! She’s gaining weight and learning what it’s like to live the good life!

Her foster has been busy getting her back to health with lots of vet visits and gaining much needed weight. She’ll be spayed mid Jan.

Her medical care has been necessary but expensive! Please consider donating to help this girl rehabilitate and make her way into her forever!

FOSTER NEEDED 🚨 Poor Patience is just not meant for the shelter. She has to be carried back to the kennel because she just does not want to be there. This poor baby.

She’s 3 years old and barely 30 lbs. She’s described as a sweet angel. She wobbles and shakes her head, so it’s suspected she has neurological issues but has not been tested. We want to get her into foster so we can get her the care and testing she needs. We’ll need someone who is committed to sticking with her as long as she’ll need.

She’s good with dogs and kids. She has not been cat tested yet. We want to get her out ASAP. DM, comment, or apply at link in bio.

HOW IT STARTED—> HOW IT’S GOING!! Our little Cola got her new wheels yesterday! They need to make a few adjustments, and she’ll keep getting used to it but this is a HUGE milestone. ✨

For those that don’t know, Cola had a standard wheelchair earlier this year but due to a fusion in her back she could not use it as it was painful. We did not give up. We tried EVERYTHING. Not just for mobility but also for diapers. Skateboards, holders, overalls. You name it. Then we found .pets . Since our first call they’ve been amazing and so excited to help our Cola. They even introduced us to who covered the ENTIRE cost of the wheelchair. ❤️

This is going to change Cola’s life and we can’t wait to share more! Major thanks to her fosters and for drivings 2+ hrs to the appts, doing every call, email, and in btwn. Cola hit the jackpot with you 2! 🥺

Little lady is less than 30 lbs and needs a foster! 🚨FOSTER NEEDED🚨 Patience is a gorgeous pocket pittie described as a sweet angel. She’s about 3-4 yrs old and having a hard time in the shelter. Patience is special needs— she seems to be having neurological issues where she shakes her head, and sometimes staggers/hops when walking. She may also have vision issues. We want to get her into our care so we can get her tests and diagnosis!

She’s great with other dogs and very food/treat motivated. She loves being picked up, and often has to be bc she doesn’t want to go back to her kennel 😞

This is her second round having come the first time in May ‘23 adopted that June, and then found as a stray Oct ‘24. Help us get her out for good. ❤️

Oat the Goat is still cute as ever in foster! This sweet boy is waiting for a few medical appointments and then will be ready for adoption!

Our 12 yr old, 6 lb baby cant wait to be on his way to forever! ❤️🏡 He hates baths, but loves belly rubs. Will give marathon kissing sessions, has the cutest little tongue blep and walks around like a little macho man.

Little Gracie is doing great in foster. And we are so obsessed with this little baby girl 🥺

Gracie came to us from the NYACC. She’s been unwinding and loving her foster mom. She’s having some skin issues so we’re heading to the vet to see what’s going on! After that she’ll be spayed and ready for adoption.

Gracie is a young adult (6-8 yrs) and 5-10 lbs. She’s been the perfect, sweetest houseguest.
