🎉 Athena is adopted!

2024 ended a bit 'ruff' for dear Athena when after 7 years of being a loyal family pet, she was abandoned at the scary city shelter. But 2025 is coming up all Athena, as she is now adopted into a loving forever family to keep her safe and never give up on her!

With her sweet face and perfect resume, Athena definitely pulled on all of our heart strings. Thank you so much to her new family for giving this wonderful dog the chance of her life time!! 🩷

Poor poor Jet, after being adopted in 2013, in a cruel twist of fate, terrifyingly found herself back at the shelter. Although her heart was sadly broken, we are so glad for the chance to pick up the pieces and give this beautiful soul the golden years she deserves.

We can't wait to see you out of there, dear Jet!

💘 the sweetest Valentine: Gorgeous SUGAR wants to be yours 💘Berks County, PA

🍭🍬 Sugar is 5-6 years old and weighs 70 lbs. Sugar is stunningly beautiful with her gorgeous coloring and is friendly when meeting new people. Late 2022, Sugar was rescued from euthanasia at Philadelphia ACCT. Sadly, the family that had been caring for her could no longer keep her and Sugar is looking for her forever home. And she really is as sweet as her name, always wanting to be by your side. Sugar loves to cuddle and taking naps on the couch. Sugar loves to be outside and enjoys running around the yard - Sugar will keep herself busy playing with a ball, she loves her toys and is super adorable & playful. Sugar is one of those cheery, light-hearted dogs that still acts like a puppy! We are not sure how Sugar is with other dogs or with cats as she has only lived in an adult home, but she does great in the car and as been well behaved in boarding. Sugar is fully vetted, spayed, micro chipped and ready for her new life to begin with YOU!

🎉 GATOR is ADOPTED!

We are so happy that Gator finally found his forever home. Gator went by Rockie at the shelter, and late 2024 this young vibrant boy was sadly at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, a kind foster in Connecticut opened her home to Rockie/Gator, saving his life from a cruel, lonely fate. Gator did so well settling in with her and her dog Misty, showing off his adorable & loving side that made his adopter fall in love with him. Thank you so much to Gator's new mom for caring about a handsome pet in need and giving him the ulti-mutt forever home!

💙💘 Just in time for Valentine's Day: the most handsomest eligible bachelor ready to go home with you 💘 Adopt RUDOLPH! 💙

Freedom sure looks good on this handsome good boy! Since being rescued from the shelter, Rudolph has been doing great with his foster. She reports he is a well-behaved boy: superbly house broken, crate trained, knows "sit" and is very attentive/motivated when treats are involved.

Rudolph is about 3 years old and weighs 67 lbs. He is dog friendly and people snuggly. Rudolph is super smart and learning how to do dog-things very quickly (e.g. walk nicely on a leash). He may need a little guidance, but he has the most heart-warming smile!

Being returned to the shelter is such a terrifying ordeal for any dog, but especially so for Hawk (who was called "Man-Man" during his first stay). Thank you so much to a wonderful family for believing in Hawk and giving him the chance he so desperately needed!! We can not wait to break this adorable boy out of the shelter again!

👀 HOLMES: check out our stories to see Holmes having fun with his foster sibling in the snow! Holmes is dog friendly and does great on walks with his canine friends. He would also make an excellent hiking buddy!!

💙HOLMES is a 1 year old shepherd mix and weighs 61 lbs. Handsome HOLMES is on the case to find himself a forever home! Poor Holmes was found running around in the street with another dog (presumed to be his sibling), who was aptly named Watson. Both went to the over crowded and chaotic city shelter and Watson was adopted fairly quickly, leaving poor Holmes behind, lost without his brother, and sadly being put onto the dreaded At Risk list. Thankfully, Holmes survived because of a wonderful foster who is now caring for Holmes on Long Island and he is learning all about being a dog. Holmes does absolutely amazing in the home and with his foster, a "sweet cuddle bug who loves belly rub." Holmes has made friends with his foster's resident dog, too!

Some of Holmes's hobbies include working to get out jerky treats stuffed in kongs and chewing on elk antlers or a good cow ear. Scratching behind the right side of his head is his spot and gets his back leg moving. Also he is absolutely stunning in real life! Holmes has just been through so much in his short life, but really is a good boy inside - we just know in the right home he will crack his own case and be a wonderful companion! Holmes is house trained, fully vetted, neutered, is microchipped and ready to curl up with you on the couch!

Sweet senior Rosie (and her teefs, too 🦷) needs a foster/adopter 💔 Can you be the one to give this lady the love she deserves?

Poor little Rosie was abandoned at the shelter by the only family she has ever known. Rosie is an 8 year old cairn terrier and weighs 15 lbs. Despite her confusion, Rosie has been friendly with staff, has allowed handling, rocking her assessments. She has allowed staff to take food and toys from her without a reaction and has shown zero touch sensitivity. Good girl, Rosie!!⭐️

Rosie is dog friendly and good at meeting strangers. She is described as "quiet" and cat tested well: not minding the cats, just sniffing them through the cage a little. Rosie is a refined lady who needs an adult only home. She likes playing with her stuffed squeaky toys - which is absolutely adorable! Her previous owner said she could be a little fresh at times, but none of those behaviors have been seen at the shelter.
