How we met BUCKY 💔 6 months later this sweet boy is still waiting?!? Look how perfect he is, with such a great resume. Read more about him below 👇 WONKA BLUE: We are bonkers for gorgeous WONKA BLUE, a sweet big boy with stunning eyes – but this good lookin’ guy would surely look best in your living room! <3 Wonka Blue is about 4 years old and weighs 73 lbs, with his pretty, light green eyes peering up at you surrounded by his chiseled face. Friendly and outgoing, Wonka Blue is ready for an adventure with you! Although he is just one of the many adult dogs found as a stray in the bustling city, Wonka Blue has a puppy-like quality to him - exploring the world as if it is all new to him and hoping that a loving someone will accompany him along his way. After a long stay at the city shelter, Wonka Blue ended up on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding, but luckily a foster stepped up for him. Since then, Wonka Blue has been settling into his new environment well, getting along with other dogs and curious. Now he needs a new foster (although would LOVE to be adopted!) Wonka Blue is a strong and energetic dog, who loves to be outside and be with YOU. He is affectionate and always accepts pets on his handsome self. We don’t know what he has been through, and although it seems as if he is learning manners for the first time, he is a very bright boy who wants to make you happy. While walking, he does need to wear a harness, and not a collar, as the pressure of a collar can make him feel a bit woozy. He needs some follow up vet care, which we will go over. CAPE MAY, NJ: You don't have to "Catch Em All", but you GOTTA CATCH LILLIPUP! Lillipup is a young pup at only 1 year old and weighs 50 lbs. Found as a stray, Lillipup was understandably afraid at the shelter, being a little puppy in such a big, scary place. This pretty girl weighed only 38 lbs when she was found, which was sadly underweight for her stature. Poor Lillipup had probably not known much kindness as she was also found with mild injuries to her paws. Wherever poor Lillipup came from, could not have been very good. Since being rescued from the emergency placement list, however, Lillipup has blossomed in a loving foster home with lots of love, lots of sticks to catch, and lots of other pups for her to play with! Lillipup hasn't just gained some well-deserved pounds - she's gained a whole lot of confidence, too. Lillipup is now a well-adjusted, super smart, lovable, and vibrant good girl. Lillipup is just adorable as she is learning her new world with love in it. Being a puppy still, she loves to play and gets along with other dogs. Her gorgeous features are now relaxed, and her personality shining through is amazing. Her name came from a Pokémon game, which means she will be a dedicated companion who is always there for you. HAUPPAUGE, LI NY: Poor sweet boy Kyng has not known stability at any time during his young life. He is always told, “you need to go!” after such a short stay. He was originally an owner surrender due to housing, and they had so many good things to say about him: good with their toddlers, social, affectionate, house-trained, dog-friendly, even loved bath time! Kyng was terrified at the shelter, but adopted in July 2023 – then again dumped at the shelter when the adopter “didn’t have any time for him” anymore in early January 2024. Can you imagine how young Kyng felt when he realized he was abandoned again? How can anyone expect a 1 year old pup to learn anything or settle down if everything is always changing? Kyng needs someone who won’t give up on him and who doesn’t see him as an inconvenience. He almost didn’t make it out of the shelter his second stay and we really need to find a home committed to this wonderful dog with so much potential to be a great companion. Kyng is less than 2 years old and weighs 68 lbs; he is neutered and up to date on shots. Kyng is an active and excitable boy, but aren’t all puppies? And this puppy loves to PLAY! Kyng gets along with other dogs but he can, however, play a little rough so whomever he is playing with – person or fellow dog – needs to match his strength & energy. He has never been aggressive and is also very food motivated. Kyng has responded well to training, but again needs consistency in order for it to be effective. Kyng has already shown how obedient and smart he is – he knows sit, stay, lay down, & leave it! After he burns up all his puppy energy, Kyng becomes very affectionate and loves to nap with you.
