❗️❗️ Lovely LILO is looking for her forever home - but also needs a foster ASAP! ❗️❗️

🩷 Lilo is a sweet 6 month old, medium sized husky mix. Lilo is not only gorgeous, but she is playful and loving, too! She has been being kept by her finders for a few weeks but unfortunately is going to be surrendered to a shelter- we are desperately seeking a foster or adopter before then! It would be terrible for such a young, happy puppy to be in a shelter. Lilo has been doing so well with younger children, and her 7 year old human friend works with her every day on training. She learns quickly and follows commands with praises & pats. She knows words like bed, indoors, cookie, down, sit, come, and stay. Lilo can get very excited on walks - she just wants to see the world! - but she is working on her leash manners, too. As with any husky breed, Lilo will need exercise and activity, but she is also a great indoor dog, always following her people and ready for snuggles. She wants to play with other dogs, but can play exuberantly so either a home without smaller dogs or a training-savvy home would be best. She has been interested when seeing cats, but if they do not want to play with her, she has left them alone. All in all, Lilo is a darling little girl who will make a wonderful family pet and/or devoted companion to her new person.

⭐KODA (fka Newark at the shelter earlier in 2024) is still patiently waiting for his forever home. He is so handsome and such a good snuggler, surely we can't let those qualities go to waste! GET YOUR KODA TODAY!!!

STATEN ISLAND, NY: Handsome, good-boy Koda is on a mission to find his forever home, where he can shower his family with affection and snuggle up for pets!

Charming Koda is 3 years young and weighs 70 lbs. He was known as Newark in the shelter, but has been lovingly dubbed Koda with his foster. He is affectionate and loves being touched, pet, rubbed, scratched – and is always ready to snuggle! Sadly, he was found as a stray wandering alone on Staten Island before arriving at the city shelter. AmsterDog was able to pull him to safety thanks to his foster, who fell in love with his gorgeous smile and deep, beautiful eyes (he has that effect on people!). Koda has been such a good boy while decompressing, and wow, is he thankful for some cozy blankets and a bed. Koda was dog-tested at the shelter and he did well, even going for a walk alongside another dog just fine. Although Koda has come a long way with his foster, he will need slow, proper introductions to other dogs. He has done well over the past few months, learning how to walk well on a leash. He was also around a cat briefly with his original finder and was non-reactive. Koda has the most soulfull eyes and his happy spirit shines in them!

Koda has been going on lots of adventures with his foster - even catching some waves at the beach! Koda is food-motivated and easily directed; food is his language, so he will do anything for a treat: he has even already picked up how to sit on command! Koda is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to be your best furiend!
