I am a fourth level dressage rider and am providing riding instruction around western and central part of Long Island. Also, I can give lessons on my 4th level dressage mare in Brookville.
I do not use shortcuts or unnecessary gadgets, nor do I use "magical" tricks or gimmics. I believe in old school: the good old fashioned, traditional European way of training the rider and the horse based upon the pyramid of training. Also, I try to keep it simple and do not overwhelm the rider with the huge amount of words he/she is unable to remember or understand.
Everyone can learn how to ride correctly and balanced, just as every horse, regardless of the breed, can be trained to work under saddle in such a way that a riding session is a pleasure to both the horse and its rider.
I am Polish born and came to the US together with my horse, a wielkopolski mare Negocjacja, in 2014.
I have been riding since 1970ies when, as a kid, I first rode farm horses at my uncle's farm in Poland.
Later, when I was 13, I started taking lessons in a riding school outside Warsaw.
Then, after a long break from horses, I went back to riding in 1994 while living in Denmark. Among others, I trained off-track trotters to become riding horses.
Back in Poland in 1996, I started riding in a big sports riding club Legia in Warsaw, where I rode numerous school horses as well as horses ridden by pentathlon contestants.
My own horse, a Polish warmblood mare Negocjacja, has been trained by me since she was 4 years old. Negocjacja and me participated in dressage shows up to third level both on regional and national level.
I am the "follower" of Kyra Kyrklund's teachings contained in her book "Dressage with Kyra" and in the series of her instructional films. I have also attended a clinic with Kyra, where I had the pleasure to meet her in person.
Best regards
