Shop cat for a day! Hibi is a current resident in our Cat Lounge. He’s wanted to come into the store for so long, he’s such a loving and social guy. Well, today .ac is working and asked if she could grant his wish 🪄 😊 So come meet adoptable Hibi today! He’s bonded to Roo, an equally handsome and social black kitty (think 🦭). This would make amazing family cats in a busy household. Check out the highlight under “Lounge” and see Hibi hosting a birthday party! We’ve never seen a cat so 😍

Earthborn Catalina Catch is a favorite food for us here at Beastie Bestie and an item we donate regularly to . It’s a real crowd pleaser.

Rosehip (modeling the attractive box) is a recent rescue from a nearby project where SIX house cats were put out onto the street all at once. They’re all safe inside with Good Home now thanks to a partnership with local trappers/rescuers and . All six cats are wonderful, and all are FIV+.

Thanks to BB the cats are eating very well! Rosehip LOVES Catalina Catch. It’s chunky fish in a lovely broth that you can serve as is, or mashed (Rosehip recommends it right out of thecan because why waste time? 😸).

The cafe in back of the store is open this weekend! Binx, our new security supervisor, will oversee visitors with a loving paw. The cafe is open 12-5 today and tomorrow (10/21 & 22). A $6 fee helps care for the cats. Come visit!

It might be a rainy Monday but our bright and crisp new awning shines through despite the gray day! Thank you , we love it. We look forward to letting the local community know more about what we do here at Beastie Bestie and that, besides carrying a great selection of supplies for your furry friend, we host an AWESOME free-roaming cat adoption room in back of the store that is filled with loving and lovable rescued felines 🥰 Come visit the cats every weekend 12-5! A very reasonable $6 fee helps our resident non-profit care for the kitties. Beastie Bestie supports Good Home by covering rent and utilities, and providing food, treats and toys for the kitties. Next time you’re in Beastie Bestie please be sure to look though the glass wall in back to see some of the wonderful, rescued felines we host—and your supper in action. Thank you central Brooklyn!

Our cat adoption room is open this weekend for cafe hours and you can visit this luscious and cuddly little man who is named Smokey-Onyx-Ernie-Spencer plus a few others!

Our resident animal rescue, , asks for a $6 entrance fee which helps to care for the cats. It’s a good time!

Our cat adoption room is open this weekend for cafe hours! Come meet adoptable felines in back of the store 12-5, Saturday and Sunday. A $5 entrance fee helps care for the cats. On Tuesdays sometimes I stay late to do the weekly ordering and always try to get a little playtime in at our adoption room. Al the cats are great but there is an especially lovely crew of really fun and sweet older kittens right now. All of the kittens in this movie were trapped or rescued from the streets of Brooklyn. Beastie Bestie supports by paying for rent and supplies for the cats in the adoption room. So when you shop at Beastie Bestie you directly support animal welfare and little lives like these 🤗

N***y is a feisty, ahem, spirited 😺 gal with excellent self esteem who enjoys attention and appreciation! She’s no layabout. Curious and interested describes her best. Anyone have a farmhouse? She’d LOVE to oversee the kitchen and make sure that the cupboards stay clear of any mousey friends. Also, if managed well, she’d enjoy being able to sit on the porch. In the meantime she is doing an excellent job of guarding the here at 💕

We’ve got a new part time ! Her name is Nook and she is one of the cats in our adoption room looking for her forever home. She has the Beatsie staff trained to open the door when she wants to either go into the store or back into the adoption room. She’s the boss!

These handsome brothers are just two of the cats who are available for adoption through our resident animal welfare non-profit, . In case you didn’t know, the back of the store is an adoption room where there are generally 8-10 wonderful felines, most former street cats, who are fully vetted and looking for their forever home. The room is open to the general public for “cafe hours” each weekend 12-5.

Beastie covers monthly expenses for Good Home (rent and utilities) and, every week, donates several hundred dollars worth of food and goods to support Good Home’s cats.

So, when you shop at Beastie Bestie, you ACTIVELY help us keep our doors open which directly supports local animal welfare. Thank you for shopping at Beastie Bestie! 💕🤗

We’re hiring! Beastie Bestie has a part-time position available, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

The job entails assisting customers as they shop in the store, keeping the shelves stocked, unpacking deliveries and accounting for inventory. There are some light duties caring the cats in our adoption room as well, located in back of the store.

Applicants must have their own pet(s) that they are directly responsible for, have retail experience, be quick on their feet and able to lift/carry at least 30 pounds up and down stairs. Please enjoy working with people and be personable!

In return we offer competitive pay, an excellent working environment for animal lovers and the unique opportunity to support and participate in our resident animal welfare non-profit that supports cat rescue! Not your average job 🐾💕
