Hi, I’m Bella! I am an 8 month old, Jack Russell mix, and about 30 pounds of sweetness, fun, and good health. Woof just rescued me before I would have been sent to the shelter - thank goodness!!! I’ve had all my shots, am microchipped, and my favorite thing would be a nice yard to run around in but I would also be happy with someone who loves me and enjoys taking long, brisk walks with me. I’m one of the nicest girls in the neighborhood, and I like all dogs, cats, and kids. I like adults too, once I know they’re not going to hurt me. I love cuddling with my foster mom and following her all around the house, and my favorite thing is to sleep snuggled up to her all night long.  I’m working on my housebreaking and will be spayed next week, then ready for a family who would love me dearly and I will love and take care of. Are you that lucky family?

Bubba and Billy! These pups are in need of a home. Their beloved owner suddenly passed away and to make matters worse, they ended up in a city kill shelter. Family members living across the country were finally able to pull the dogs safely and had them transported to Manhattan where they are currently being fostered.

Bubba and BIlly are both very sweet and well-behaved. They just want to be loved and have lots of love to give. They are people and dog friendly; however, we prefer a home without other small animals. Separately they walk well and are not reactive when other dogs walk by but will want to say hi and will get excited in a friendly way.

At home alone, they are not destructive and mainly just lay around all day with moments of playing. Neither show signs of aggression or guarding! They do each have a signature move when playing…Bubba is mouthy and enjoys putting Billy’s entire head in his mouth! Billy will occasionally hump but nothing concerning.

Ideally, we would love Bubba and Billy to be adopted together because they love each other's company and are quite the pair. That said, we do not feel it would be detrimental for them to be adopted separately but it would definitely be great for them. They do love being with each other and playing together but are not inseparable. However if separated, there must be someone home during the day or another dog to keep them company so they don’t get lonely as they are used to each other's company. 🐶 🐾

Meet Barkley! Barkley is a sweet 2 year old boy, only 26 pounds but filled with enough love for all humans and other creatures he meets. Barkley has had all his shots and he is neutered as well as microchipped. He is near totally house broken and very healthy! He absolutely loves walks, his only flaw is barking at other dogs on the street- but don't worry, his lovely foster mom is working on that with him. He LOVES to play with the dogs and cats he is currently living with! When humans, big or small, stop to say hello during his walks he shows his love right away, and hug and kiss them as much as he can. He really is a sweet, good boy. He is still very young at heart and also pretty strong, so he will need someone who can hold tightly onto my leash when he pulls sometime. Otherwise, he is the best boy, very loving, no aggression toward anyone, and he loves to cuddle. He sleep with his foster mom, all snuggled up together, but he is now looking for a forever home and a forever family who will be the ones to snuggle with him forever. Could that be you?

Woof Rescue is in need of an immediate adopter or foster for this precious boy, Barkley. He's just 2 years old, 26 pounds in excellent health, housebroken and a real lover -- adores cuddling with his family and loves all humans, dogs and cats. He has no aggression toward anyone. He loves walks but we feel his best home will be outside the city where he has a yard to run and play. Barkley has had all his shots, is neutered and microchipped. He is so precious and needs to go to a wonderful new home and family right away. Please go on our website to apply to adopt or foster. He will be your best friend!

The New York City animal shelters are totally full and they are making pleas to all the rescue groups to pull dogs and cats. Woof Rescue is in a position to do that but we must have fosters that will receive the animals from the shelter and keep them until we find adopters. Woof will assume all responsibility for costs incurred for supplies, medical help, training and anything else needed for the animals we take into our care. It's a short term commitment and you will be saving the life of one of the wonderful dogs or cats fighting for life in the shelter. Any animals that aren't taken by rescue groups or adopted will most likely be euthanized. Please help us by volunteering to foster! Please let me know if you can foster for us.
