Willow's owner decided to surrender her to the shelter on 11/15 due to having a newborn baby and moving to a building that does not allow pets. Now, this sweet and tiny girl is fearful in the shelter and is seeking placement with a rescue who can help her to feel safe while she awaits her furever home. Meet Milo! He is 9 pounds of love and fun energy. His estimated age is about 8 years old, but you'd never know it. Milo was surrendered to ACC, and previously lived with two adults, and two toddlers. Ideally, he would go to an adult-only house hold, with a new family who is dedicated and committed to a training schedule. His previous owners favorite thing about him was that he would always comfort them when they were sad. He would cuddle with them, and he loved to chase his tail. Could you be Milo's new family?

MEET BEANIE!šŸ¾šŸ¶ Beanie is Woof's newest rescue pup, found abandoned in an apartment building and brought into our care. He's the cutest, sweetest, and cuddliest little boy around - less than 2 years old - a healthy, active and playful puppy! He's living with other dogs and cats and gets along beautifully with all of them as well as all people - adults and kids.
Beanie is just 14 pounds of love, has had all his shots, and is neutered and microchipped. He needs a wonderful home deserving of such a great little pup! Are you that family?

Meet Olive, an adorable, 2-year-old, 70 pound Lab mix. Sheā€™s highly intelligent and full of fun and energy. Olive loves to be around people and enjoys cuddling with her fosters at the end of the day. Sheā€™s housebroken, and leash, crate, and basic command trained. The perfect home for Olive would be a family with a house and yard with space for her to run around and play. Or, an active, athletic city person who will go on long walks or runs and visits to dog runs. Olive loves to walk and hike and needs mental stimulation through the day as her breed is incredibly smart.. Sheā€™s great with kids and other dogs and deserves a wonderful new start in life. Meet Luna! She is currently living with her foster family in Staten Island. Before she was rescued, she was often left in a cage, underfed (as you can see in the last photo), and under-exercised. All of her struggles accumulated and led to a dog fight that made her previous owners want her out of their home completely. She has been with her current foster for about two months. This is what her foster mom has learned about her: ā€œI believe she has developed a fear from being mistreated and misunderstood. I know thereā€™s someone out there who will see how much love this dog has to offer and be willing to put in the work to give her the life she deserves.ā€ Her current foster has three large dogs of her own, and when they bark Luna gets very anxious. Luna deserves to find a home she can feel comfortable in!

Hi, Iā€™m Bella!Ā I am an 8 month old, Jack Russell mix, and about 30 pounds of sweetness, fun, and good health.Ā Woof just rescued me before I would have been sent to the shelter - thank goodness!!!Ā Iā€™ve had all my shots, am microchipped, and my favorite thing would be a nice yard to run around in but I would also be happy with someone who loves me and enjoys taking long, brisk walks with me.Ā Iā€™m one of the nicest girls in the neighborhood, and I like all dogs, cats, and kids. I like adults too, once I know theyā€™re not going to hurt me.Ā I love cuddling with my foster mom and following her all around the house, and my favorite thing is to sleep snuggled up to her all night long.Ā  Iā€™m working on my housebreaking and will be spayed next week, then ready for a family who would love me dearly and I will love and take care of.Ā Are you that lucky family?

Bubba and Billy! These pups are in need of a home. Their beloved owner suddenly passed away and to make matters worse, they ended up in a city kill shelter. Family members living across the country were finally able to pull the dogs safely and had them transported to Manhattan where they are currently being fostered.

Bubba and BIlly are both very sweet and well-behaved. They just want to be loved and have lots of love to give. They are people and dog friendly; however, we prefer a home without other small animals. Separately they walk well and are not reactive when other dogs walk by but will want to say hi and will get excited in a friendly way.

At home alone, they are not destructive and mainly just lay around all day with moments of playing. Neither show signs of aggression or guarding! They do each have a signature move when playingā€¦Bubba is mouthy and enjoys putting Billyā€™s entire head in his mouth! Billy will occasionally hump but nothing concerning.

Ideally, we would love Bubba and Billy to be adopted together because they love each other's company and are quite the pair. That said, we do not feel it would be detrimental for them to be adopted separately but it would definitely be great for them. They do love being with each other and playing together but are not inseparable. However if separated, there must be someone home during the day or another dog to keep them company so they donā€™t get lonely as they are used to each other's company. šŸ¶ šŸ¾

How is it that Stevie still hasnā€™t found his forever home? ***ADOPT ME*** Stevie is without a doubt ā€œmans best friendā€ heā€™s the absolute perfect house guest to his foster family and they canā€™t believe he doesnā€™t have a family yet of his own. Stevie is about 5 years old. Some things about Stevie. ā¤ļøVery friendly even with strangers ā¤ļøLoves being around male hoomans ā¤ļøHeā€™d be fine with a family of young adult teenagers who understand boundaries. ā¤ļøIgnores cats ā¤ļøHe has allergies which are managed by medications and baths (which arenā€™t often and groomer can assist.)
