Today was a yoga for beginners day at My Dog Hikes! Our furry friends were a little nervous at first but I think by the end of class they had their chakras fully aligned! 🧘🙏🏼💕 interestingly enough..no one did the downward dog 🤔

In honor of 🎶 Music Appreciation Day 🎶 our dogcation buddies Cookie, Lola, Hefty and Dakota had a nice little listening party while enjoying the gorgeous weather with their pal, Shannon! 💕 I think we’ve got some classical music lovers on our paws! 🐾🐶💕

The queen has fallen. Mushu was with the MDH pack for well over a decade never missing a dog walk, hike, and especially not a party. I felt like I had really made it when her dad invited me to a sleepover in the country with Mushu and their entire family when I was 30- just for fun, not work. I visited a few more times there after to walk the grounds and then present my new baby to dad and Mushu. To me, that’s how I knew I had crossed the threshold! Dog school we talk about thresholds and she continually taught me how to honor those and champion. One of my mentors said this industry brings such deep heartache because of all the dogs that move and pass on, but you can never imagine what that means until you see it on repeat. Being a 20 year care veteran, half my life now, I’ve had had some true best friends individual pups be taken; we feel that as a whole company. She helped me look for the ranch tirelessly trapsing each hike and land. She watched us tile, re tile (I’m picky), demo (from the outside and everything in between. She sat with me on mother earth floor and countless city parks, random friends houses, bars, clients homes- everyone knew Mushu. She was an air snapper and pleasantly welcomed into Union Square Park to play ball because she was also so kind and playful. She taught me we all have a side to us and people either Love you or they won’t and that’s OK. She taught me so much about myself how to run a company and forge, everlasting relationships with people that matter and support and champion you, even if you look like an idiot trying to get that group photo or last hug at AMC sobbing with chicken cheese sea moss yogurt in hand praying she can pull through. You passed right after I left I’m so grateful you had the courage to let go and trust me and your wonderful loving unshakable dad with your care. It took a lot for you to let us take charge. Shantel will miss walking you daily, I know. My babies got to meet you and Jared loves you so much; we always talk about you and dad. This world doesn’t deserve to keep you right now. I’ll see you on the other side; thanks for the lifetime of memories ✨ 🎈🐾 Absolutely will not be the same without you.
