So, my friend Neil went on a first date with his coworker—the woman of his dreams. Neil's a genuinely sweet guy, but his clumsiness has always sabotaged his chances with women. Lucky me, I work as a waiter at the restaurant where they planned their date, so I figured I'd help him out.

The moment Neil walked in, I knew we were in trouble. Oversized suit, greasy slicked-back hair, and a tiny bouquet of roses. It was giving... awkward prom night. Before I could fully process this, Liz—his date—arrived. She was stunning. Like, the kind of beautiful that makes the whole restaurant stare.

But Liz seemed… uncomfortable. She barely looked at Neil, glued to her phone, and the date ended with her making a quick exit, claiming she was "in a hurry." Neil, oblivious, thought it went amazing.

I'm a mom of three little rascals. For Christmas, their grandma Darlene, gave them some awesome gifts like a new LEGO set, a princess castle playset, etc. The kids were over the moon, playing with toys and rocking those stylish clothes she got them.

But just 2 days later, she shows up at our doorstep, gripping three large empty bags. Her face was bright red, and she looked ready to explode.

"Darlene, hi!" I said. "What's going on?"

She didn't say a word. She just marched right past me into the living room, where the kids were now playing.

She packed everything she gifted the kids, to the tiniest detail, even the clothes that was in the washing and took it all back.

"You'll regret what you did." she muttered coldly, zipping the bags shut with finality.

It turned out the reason for her madness was our Christmas gift for her. ⬇️

It was one of the wildest workdays of my life, and trust me, as a flight attendant, I've seen some "stuff." So, the plane takes off, my coworker and I do the usual safety brief, and all's good. Then, as I'm heading back to my seat, I pass the bathroom and hear this weird noise—a kitten meowing? Instantly, I'm like, "Did someone lose their cat mid-flight?"

I knock, expecting a passenger to answer, but nothing. Curious (and low-key panicking), I open the door and nearly jump out of my skin. No kitten. Instead, a little boy is curled up on the floor, crying his eyes out. I crouch down, trying to stay calm, and say, “Whoa, buddy, you scared me! I’m Leslie. What’s your name?”

Through teary eyes, he whispers, “Ben.”

I help him up and settle him into a jump seat while I try to figure out where he’s supposed to be. But here’s the kicker: there’s no "Ben" on the passenger list. Not a single one. My brain is spinning. “Ben, where are your parents? Are you lost?” He doesn’t answer, just clutches this ratty little paper bag like it’s a lifeline.

Trying to keep it together, I ask, “Alright, Ben. Focus. What’s in the bag?”😳👇

MY HUSBAND DISAPPEARED ON CHRISTMAS EVE—THE NEXT MORNING, HE CAME HOME WITH A THREE-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN HIS ARMS

Christmas Eve was supposed to be magical for our boys, Ryan and Liam, who were 5 and 7. I spent the day cooking their favorite dishes, setting out cookies for Santa, and making everything perfect. James, my husband of nine years, had been distracted all day, glued to his phone with a furrowed brow.

Around 7 p.m., just as I was plating the ham, he abruptly said, “I forgot something. I’ll be back soon,” and left before I could object.

The boys didn’t notice, too busy debating if Santa’s reindeer could fly. I tucked them in, promising Daddy would read them a story when he got home. Hours passed. Midnight came and went. My calls went unanswered. Anxiety gnawed at me, but eventually, I fell asleep.

At 6 a.m., I heard the front door creak. Relief washed over me—until I saw him. James stood there, pale and disheveled, holding a little girl no older than three in his arms. She looked at me with wide, teary eyes before burying her face in his shoulder.

“James,” I whispered, shaking. “Who is this?”

He placed the girl on the couch, shrugged off his coat, and muttered, “SORRY.”

“Sorry?” My voice rose. “You’ve been gone all night, and you walk in here with a child? What is this?”⬇️

MY HUSBAND FORGOT TO HANG UP THE PHONE BEFORE STARTING HIS THERAPY SESSION

I was on the phone with my husband about 10 minutes before his therapy session. We said our usual warm goodbyes, and I went back to doing some chores around the house.

But then, 10 minutes later, I picked up my phone to call a friend and noticed my husband hadn't hung up after our call. I could hear everything he was saying to his therapist.

I wasn't planning on eavesdropping because it's not right or fair, but then I heard one phrase from his therapist that changed my life forever and split my life into "BEFORE" and "AFTER."
