Miss Missy waited over 600 days, the longest stay in ACC history, before finally finding her person.

Her story is the heart of our mission and a reminder of why we never stop advocating for our Boroughbreds.

Holiday photos by the incredible Jen Hillenga (), a Brooklyn based pet photographer who donates her time and talent to rescue pets. Jen believes a great photo can change a shelter pet’s future, and Miss Missy is proof of that.

Want to change a life like Eduardo changed Miss Missy’s?

Hoover (242077) is adoptable from Manhattan ACC!

Hoover’s bio https://nycacc.app/ #/browse/242077

A volunteer writes: Hoover’s been so determined to show everyone that he can be the perfect addition to their family. He’s worked hard to make his new space a home and takes a charming and notable pride in himself and his condo as he welcomes new friends. Sometimes we just have to work with what we have and even though he’d been in the middle of washing his face, Hoover raced to the front when he saw me peek in. With all of his bright and sparkly hope on display, he asked me to stay a little while with him. Walking back and forth at the front of his condo, Hoover leaned into my arms and nuzzled the doors of his condo, looking only for my time and a little love. Hoover was brought to us when his guardian could no longer care for him and he’s been showing us all day after day that he can really shine.
