Loki is a 1.5 year old chocolate lab looking for forever. He is neutered, UTD and the most perfect boy. Loves all dogs, people, kids. A true New Yorker he’s unfazed by city noises. He’s incredible house trained, crates well, easy and lovely at home. Pulls on leash (will need help there) and a fetching pro.

This little guy has gone through some big life changes. His momma passed, and her son reached out to me to help the transition as his family adopted Sammy❤️❤️❤️. We’re making sure Sammy feels secure and confident in his new home, and helping him learn he does not have to bite when humans hug or his prized human is approached. I adore this family and I wish this kind of dedication for all animals.

When her veterinary behavior team asked me to work with this sweet girl- they had me at “she’s deaf”. I love working with deaf (and blind) dogs! That was just one small part of the complexities that make up this delightful, loving mush of a girl. She fixates on and reacts to many things in the environment like debris, runners, bikes, some humans and dogs, and shadows and light are very difficult for her too. Thankfully she is responding well to the right combination of medication-this took some time to figure out.
Here I am coaching her dad on the concept of leash pressure. It’s important that the human can quickly move her away from triggers to keep her in her “learning brain”. She is strong and her reactions can be big, so this is one of many “defensive driving” techniques we use while working on so many other things. Her mom and dad are incredibly dedicated and she’s one lucky NYC lady to have
them!

It’s been a while since I’ve taken the time to post but this one is too good to pass up. Yes…we are on the couch! Yes Adri came up and licked me a couple times then settled next to her mom. This is a year in the making! Adri’s social circle has essentially doubled (🙌🙌🙌 to her fearless grandma-video in comments- our inspo) and she is still asking for and having successful early morning daily walks! I’m not crying you’re crying.

Guys….we’ve been keeping a secret. Adri is now a member of the midnight walking club! That’s right, after 1.5 years of no walks she’s doing regular late night walks with @karenhock31 . More than that, she is asking to go out and enjoying her time out there! THIS IS HUGE! We can’t predict the future but we are thrilled with where we are.

This little nugget is 9 weeks old and I saw her and her family 2x in her first week at home. Our “to do” list included:
*a shopping list of supplies
*set up of the apartment with safe zones for puppy
*a written sample schedule of her day to make sure her sleeping, eating and engagement needs are being met and she is being set up for long term house training success
*clear instructions on what socialization is (and is not) and how to achieve that…..even if puppy is too young to walk outside
Additionally, puppy learned her name, a marker word, hand targeting and that 4 on the floor is a great choice!
Amazing right? It’s never too early to start working with a professional to set your pup up for success!
