Our first knocked over tree this season but we know from experience it won’t be the last. Our vet tech Cate walked into a home and this was waiting for her. To those who are scheduled with us for pet sitting over the holiday, if you are putting up a live tree, please remove your ornaments and garland from your tree before you leave. Tree water can also be toxic to pets. Most importantly, our workload triples this time of year. We are here to take care of your furkid but not your Christmas decorations. Thank you for your consideration.

What does a downstate pet care company have in common with an upstate farm, turns out, a lot!❤️ Last weekend, we had the pleasure of taking a day trip to Elk Ravine Farm in upstate NY. This decision turned out to be not only a fun day, but a day of learning about farm animals, spent with Jim the owner, his fiancée, daughters and photographer and tour guide Carol Pedersen. Elk Ravine Farm, located in Amenia, NY, is a magical place, a teaching farm, a farm committed to environmental restoration. Known for their work with Highland Scottish Cattle and Water Buffalos named Billy and Wanda, it’s a day well spent around animals who are loved and improving the lives of humans. Last Sunday, we had a very successful rescue holiday event at our boarding center Doggittude. We invited our Cattitude community and for the first time, a pet parent brought their cat who had a pawsome time. In spite of what some believe, cats and other small animals, enjoy out of the home social activities. Doggittude is designed to support all pets in our care. Even if you don’t want to bring your pet, you the human are always welcome to drop in, say hi, and have a glass of Prosecco.
