Another animal from Zion Hill Exotics
This is a black headed python (Aspidites melanocephalus). They are endemic to the northern region of Australia and average in length around 5-7 feet, with some individuals getting larger, although not common.

A few of the little ringed pythons I’m raising up. Nathan Jordan Photography took these photos at the perfect time, because that vibrant orange/yellow coloring is already starting to fade a bit since these were taken.

A cute woma python curiously investigating the camera. One of my photography goals is to complete different genera by photographing every species within it. I finished Aspidites relatively easily, but that may be because there are only two species in the genus: woma and blackheaded pythons.
I prefer to contribute it to Zion Hill Exotics having such fantastic animals and success with reproducing them!

Whenever I have this guy out I have to get a picture. Meanest snake I’ve ever owned but also one of my favorites.

I’ve always wondered if this guy is an average adult size or on the larger side. Anyone out there working with adults that has some input? It’s not often you see photos of adults.

Still hard to believe that these were dream species to me at one point and now I keep all of them in my collection. Hydrosaurus microlophus, pustulatus and celebensis.

It’s crazy how much these guys change overtime. First photo is one of my babies and second photo is of my adult male. Even though they lose that vibrant yellow/orange, they are still stunning as adults. I’m glad Nathan Jordan Photography was able to photograph the baby while it still had those vibrant colors.
