Introducing The ARK at JFK: The world’s first privately owned 24/7 animal airport terminal, quarantine and full-service transportation center for the import and export of animals of all sizes and types at JFK International Airport. The ARK was developed by ARK Development, LLC, a Racebrook Portfolio Company. Facility Services:

- The full-service center offers in-transit companion animal care and

handling, in-transit avian and small-mammal handling, equine export, and equine import quarantine. Pets, horses, birds and exotic animals are transported from aircraft, terminals, cargo facilities and other airport locations, to be cared for by ARK animal care and veterinary staff. ARK Pet Oasis: The first facility of its kind in North America, Pet Oasis is a central resource available to all airlines, pet shippers and pet parents 24/7, it services the needs and promotes the welfare of all pets traveling as live animal cargo or excess baggage. Pet Shipping services are also available for companions traveling domestically or internationally. ARK Equine Export and Livestock Center: A USDA-approved equine inspection facility for horses to "rest" pre-departure, with (23) individual 12' x 12' stalls. ARK Equine Quarantine: USDA-approved facility offering 3-day and 7-day quarantine of imported horses, with (48) individual 12' x 12' stalls

ARK In-Transit Bird and Small-Mammal Shipments: USDA approved rest area for in-transit commercial or personal bird shipments as well as small mammals.

Clarification on CDC Dog Importation Requirements

As of today, CDC’s dog importation requirements remain unchanged since the August 2024 updates. While CDC webpages are under review for compliance with Executive Orders, no new regulations have been implemented at this time.

🔔 Delta Update: Pet Travel Changes 🔔

Delta Air Lines has announced pets are no longer allowed to travel in the cabin on flights to or from the Dominican Republic as of 1/24/2025.

Customers in the Dominican Republic with pets that began travel in the U.S. will be allowed to complete the return travel if all CDC rules for foreign-vaccinated or U.S.-vaccinated animal entry are met.

After our veterinarian performs the exam, all information is submitted online to the CDC to request clearance. Traveling with your U.S.-vaccinated dog to a high-risk country for dog rabies? Here's what you need to know: 🛫 If your dog has a current U.S. rabies vaccination, get the rabies certificate endorsed by a USDA-accredited vet before you travel. This endorsement is valid for the duration of the vaccine. We offer this service at The ARK! ✅ Until July 31, 2025, you can also use a USDA-endorsed export health certificate for re-entry as long as the certificate lists the dog's age, microchip number, and the U.S.-issued rabies vaccination information. To re-enter the U.S., make sure: 1️⃣ The U.S. vaccine doesn't expire during your trip. 2️⃣ Your dog is at least 6-months old for re-entry and the microchip is readable. 3️⃣ You have a Certification of U.S.-issued Rabies Vaccination form endorsed by the USDA.
