Meet Oreo a Bernedoodle mix.. He is a new puppy that came here for his first grooming. For first time grooming puppies it is recommended to have a light grooming…What that means is it’s an introduction to the grooming world. In order for the puppy to gain trust with the Groomer we go slow. The groomers bath, get the puppy accustomed to what a dryer is, cut the nails or lightly file nails down along with an ear cleaning.. As for the hair cut we do a light trim around the body.. Remember this is to get the dog accustomed to what grooming is so they’re not scared of the scissors, clippers or baths and dryers…We ask for our clients to do homework includes touching the paws and playing with them… rubbing the back of a metal spoon along the face of the dog and head so they get used to metal around their face so they don’t flinch.. it’s very important to do this homework to make their first grooming experience comfortable..
