Ayurveda. Astrology. Past Life Regression. Retreats. About:
The Center for Healing came to Kat in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic when she was sitting deeply with the need for practices that can help people to become more fully embodied as human beings—to anchor into the body, to release what isn’t serving, and to move more easefully in the direction of positive change. These are practices th
at help each of us to know who we are at deeper and deeper levels, to come into highest alignment with our destiny, and to serve those around us, and Mother Earth, in doing so. The Center of Healing offers holistic modalities for working the physical, emotional, and energy bodies of all those seeking healing, wellness, and more freedom on these levels of being. These include somatic practices of yoga asana, massage therapy, energy work including reiki and quantum expansion, ayurvedic counseling for lifestyle and nutrition, and ancestral dreamwork, as well as others. These modalities can help address anxiety and stress-related issues, depression, the death of loved ones, relationship issues, and other conditions affecting well-being. They help us to find a place to rejoice, to come back to ourselves, to return to our connection with our bodies and with the Earth and our ancestors, and to find our own inner guidance. In healing ourselves, we may find that we begin to heal those around us too, simply by being more ourselves. TO REMEMBER WHO WE ARE. The Center of Healing offers online as well as in-person sessions through individual and group retreat settings. Kat has practiced hatha yoga for over fifteen years in the Shivananda lineage, and meditation in the Thai forest tradition as well as the Rinzai Zen tradition at Dai Bosatsu Zendo in upstate New York. She also led meditation at the Shantideva Center in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition in New York City. She’s a certified at the second level of Reiki energy work and the third level of Quantum Energy Healing. Her energy work also incorporates shamanic elements where appropriate. Kat’s path as a healer grew out of her experience with her mother’s passing in 2004. She started experiencing panic attacks and agoraphobia, fear of traveling, and fear of being in public. By 2005, she had hit a breaking point, and had to stop working to focus on her healing. Her journey back to health initiated a meditation practice which eventually led her to ashrams and temples around the world in search for meaning and healing in these experiences. Yoga:

We offer instruction in simple breathwork practices rooted in the yogic tradition that help to bring various kinds of effects ranging from calming and soothing to energizing the body and mind while regulating the nervous system and bringing the connection between body and mind into balance. Reiki:
Reiki is a system of energy healing that reduces stress while providing deep relaxation and greater well-being through channeling the flow of energy through the hands from the reiki practitioner to the client. The word reiki is made up of two Japanese words — rei meaning the universal or spiritual energy source; and ki meaning the electro-magnetic energy associated with our physical bodies. Quantum Healing:
Quantum healing helps connect clients with their Higher Self, as well as higher dimensional guides. Sessions take place either one-on-one (online or in-person) or consciousness to consciousness without the need for online contact. Clients receive activations, attunements to higher dimensional energy, and may receive messages or energetic healing from guides and higher dimensional beings. This kind of healing helps us remember who we are and allows for an expansion of consciousness and awareness beyond the third dimensional. Bodywork:
The Center for Healing offers a range of body work modalities, including a range of traditional massage therapies, shiatzu, Thai massage, Japanese face therapy, and cranial sacral therapy. These are available on retreat and in individual and corporate settings by request. Retreats:
During retreats, we offer at least three modalities of your choosing. As a holistic healing center, we believe in combining modalities for optimal integration. Individuals seeking sessions outside of retreats may select modalities as they choose. AYURVEDA:
Retreats are also supported by Ayurvedic cuisine and awareness of energy cycles. The term Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Retreats with in-depth Ayurvedic instruction help participants identify their constitution or dosha type, and design an ayurvedic regimen for body practices, nutrition, herbs, and lifestyle elements for lasting well-being of the body and mind. Dreamwork:
The Center of Healing offers dreamwork sessions for individuals and groups retreat settings. Dreamwork helps us understand and integrate material from the subconscious so that we can become aware of deeper emotional patterns in the psyche, integrate the messages from these patterns and release where necessary. It also helps our positive aspirations and dream elements become manifest in our lives. Kids:
The Center for Healing offers individual or one-to-one online therapies, classes, workshops to awaken little ones’ connection to Spirit and their inner healing and knowing, inspiration, creativity and imagination. Our staff is also experienced in working with difficult emotions and mindfulness techniques to help kids navigate their feelings with awareness and curiosity. Kat created the meditation class for kids at the Shantideva Center in New York, she has worked at the Primary Schools in Brooklyn to create yoga and mindfulness programs for kids. She also started the Zen Zoo Yoga program in the Boathouse of Prospect Park which brings children into awareness of their breath and their bodies through games and exercises that incorporate animal sounds and simple breathing awareness techniques.
