Back in 1999, I had a clear vision of what I wanted to become when I grew up. I pursued an apprenticeship until I was finally able to attend school. After graduating, I embarked on a journey across the country, learning and serving as a dedicated companion to man's best friend.

However, on December 23rd, 2014, I experienced the heartbreak of a miscarriage. It was a difficult time for me, as I had hoped to become a mother. Despite this loss, I realized that it was not yet my time for motherhood, but rather a time to give birth to something else.

On January 15th, 2015, Hair of the Dog was born, and I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported my dream. While motherhood may still be a possibility for me in the future, it has been incredibly fulfilling to pour my heart and soul into this business, my clients, my furry clients, my team, and this city.

Here's to the continuous journey of serving others. Even after 9 years, our slogan remains the same: changing how dogs feel about going to the groomer, one dog at a time.

Next batch of new toys for our furclients upcycled dog toys. Each toy is handmade from teeshirts that are washed, cut into strips, braided by hand. A simple toy contributing to a good cause. Now your dog can do their part by helping out our planet. And we are supporting another small business which is a very important mantra for my mission.

Burning man was a beautiful experience, aligned with new challenges, new perceptions, new interests, new growth, new limits, new boundaries. I continue to wake up with gratitude for this human experience and yet another chance to contribute good into this world 🫶❤️

I’m excited to integrate back into default and spread this joy to where it’s needed 🙏❤️

In 2016 I set a goal to learn how to play the violin, and make the pilgrimage to burning man to play to honor my dear friend Todd. I struggled with some performance anxiety of playing in front of others so this was intended to be a private moment that I was recording. When a lovely group of new friends from Germany recorded this beautiful video capturing all that was in this Moment.

It took a very long time to get here but it was perfect timing,

So every morning this week I’ve been getting up at sunrise 🌅 and walking to yoga. Never thought I would try yoga but here we are. Also never thought would do 7 am yoga but I digress. I’ve spent so much time driving that I have failed to notice the littlest of things. When you walk, you get to feel the pulse of your surroundings, your senses are a little sharper, your sense of smell is heightened. While my city is in a very down dark time, in the wee hours of the morning, is a very special time. You get to feel a different connection. Birds are bumping, bees are pollinating, and you can see the TLC each neighborhood puts into their space. I never thought I would find peace in this city, at any hour, it’s always high electric energy, I get my peace in the woods, but this is pretty special.
