Thank you all for coming to our local farm market on Saturday! We appreciate your support!
Hi farm market friends! Been a busy week,Tuesday and Wednesday were spent in Michigan at Raker nursery (where our lisianthus plugs are started)for the Association of Specialty Cut Flowers regional conference followed by a trip to Walters Gardens near Holland to see some perennial bed inspiration! The two giant rows of hardy (blue)agapanthus and the hardy red Crape Myrtle were quite awesome. Tomorrow is national farmers market day,we’ll expect to see you all there!😆😆
Monday flowers 🌸@ The Fredonia Farm Store 🌻
Our Coral Charm peonies are blooming earlier than usual, meanwhile we spent the day preparing for the annual Newark Catholic fundraiser, they love their flowers and we love the challenge of doing a big venue. This year is especially fluffy with lots of hydrangeas, viburnums and big ruffly roses! We’re now just a week away from the first outdoor farm market of the year ,can’t wait to see all of it,customers, vendors, and of course our four legged friends!
Three amaryllis are better than one, leftover Valentine’s Day stock from the grocery ,forsythia flowers starting to happen ! New birdfeeder stand, way more snow than we expected ! I used to get up in the middle of the night to rake off the hoop houses but slept right through this time It’s amazing how well engineered some of them are this 30x70 house arrived in many small pieces yet after 10 yrs still standing.last night was close to bad news, all of the side posts were bowing a little, glad it wasnt a heavier snow! Good weather for staying inside and making art!

We’ve been pup sitting for the last week, this is the Claw and her litter mate seger.
Perennial beds are rockin! Cat Run needs help,we’re looking for someone with floral design experience to make us look good! This is just for a couple hours on Fridays and possibly some Saturday morning work at the Granville farmers market. DM us with a little info if interested. Thanks!
One more video while all the pups are still together. This is the morning feeding ritual.
Time marches on! It’s hard to believe the puppies are almost six weeks old. June has had enough of nursing, this is how she shows the pups. It can look so brutal but it’s not,the whining is coming from others who want to join in.
We’ve been negligent posting puppy pictures, what a difference a week makes!
How things have changed in just a couple days! Now it gets interesting!
Not much going on in puppy world, lots of eating and sleeping and growing.
Today feels like Christmas,we’re snowed in with 11 little presents! Five little black Junebugs and six brown and black merles like their daddy Mochie! All the puppies made it and are eating and look healthy. These puppies may be a little curlier than the last litter, mochie looked more like a standard poodle.June is back to eating everything, who knows, with 11 maybe she had some puppies wedged against her stomach. Life, what a miracle!
