Bubbly Paws is stepping up to help our furry friends in Florida and North Carolina who have been affected by the recent hurricanes. We’ve partnered with the Jacksonville Humane Society to provide much-needed supplies and donations to support animals in need. Together, we can make a difference for pets displaced and impacted by these devastating storms.

How You Can Help
We’re collecting essential supplies for dogs and cats, including:

Dog treats - unopened

Kongs (new) – large and medium

New leashes (standard, non-retractable)

Paper towels

New or gently used blankets and towels

Did you know that nail trimming is vital to your dog's posture and health?

Keeping a maintained nail trims keeps your dog healthy and comfortable, not keeping up with them can cause a list of issues:

-Pain: long nails can curl under and grow into the paw pad causing risk of infection and pain.
-Injuries: untrimmed nails are more likely to get caught on things and get ripped off or break.
-Joint Problems: long nails can change the alignment on a dog's paw, which can put pressure on their joint and cause the risk of arthritis.

👋 Sidewalk Test: Feel the sidewalk with your hand or bare foot. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.
💧 Moisturize: Use a dog-safe paw balm to keep paws moisturized.
🔍 Regular Checks: Inspect your dog's paws regularly for signs of injuries.

✂️ Will Shaving My Dog Keep Them Cool?✂️
For double-coated dogs like Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Labradors, shaving is not recommended. The undercoat helps keep them cool by maintaining a layer of cooler air next to the skin. Shaving can increase the risk of sunburn and overheating.

Tater's mom shared the story that clinched her win: "Tater loves to roll in the grass and splash through puddles like most pups, but last summer, she outdid herself.
