People usually assume my training sessions are super exciting, when in fact many are pretty boring. Depending on what each dog needs and the threshold we are working at, they can be us just sitting around to me doing cartwheels (literally) and practically standing on my head for my dogs. π Tonight, I present the 'true' Snoop Dogg doing a boring down while learning impulse control around his favorite overstimulating thing, a laser pointer.
Side note- playing with a laser point with your dog can be super dangerous and create really bad obsessions that I guarantee you'll end up regretting and possibly paying someone like me to counter condition. So tip of the day! Keep the laser pointers for the cats only!π
I'm going to make alot of pet trainers mad right now but...you don't HAVE to train every day... But you do HAVE to enforce the rules consistently every day π€― For your viewing pleasure, here's Bailey who was terrified of the world and would explode if anyone looked at her. Now she gets to enjoy her life with more information, guidance and lots of reinforcement for being the brave girl we knew she could be and having trust and faith that I will always protect her and guide her to safety. Stick with me kid, you're going places now! And thank you to all the Home Depot employees who always support me and all my borrowed babies! They're always complimentary to us!
This is Bailey! Bailey is always hungry! Bailey is always fast....very fast! Bailey is sometimes too fast and makes me laugh too much that I can't even mark and feed her fast enough because I'm too busy laughing at her shenanigans! It's OK. Bailey is having a blast and I am too so who cares. Sorry about the camera work but I just wanted to share Bailey's very favorite game with you if you can actually keep your eyes on her! ππ€©
Just us over here working distractions with the cutest training clients! They work so hard and I'm so grateful for them! This is 1 of the texts I got from them after training tonight. It makes me completely confident I'm doing exactly what I'm meant to be doing. I was so happy to do a session after having knee replacement 2 weeks ago and they have been incredible at handling their own dog through this process. But getting messages like this just makes my entire day.
"I hope training was able to take your mind off things for a bit! These past couple weeks haven't been the same without you! We were so happy to be back tonight. Andrew and I said how great we feel every time we leave your place (Koa agrees too of course π©·). It's so nice to work with Koa but we also love seeing you too. You're the one who makes this whole process so worth it and fun. Gonna feel weird having another week without you!!"

From demos to nail trims to all the dogs who go to try agility, we were so proud to hopefully add a little sunshine to people's day! And to see all the sweet babies out there! I only wish we had gotten more pictures and videos! π€¦π»ββοΈπ
