Taxidermy by Laurel

Taxidermy by Laurel Taxidermy is about preserving a moment in time. There is no job too big or too small. Each year brings new opportunities to challenge myself.

Having worked with many hunters and hearing their great stories, it’s this part of my work that brings it all into focus for me. As the owner and operator of Taxidermy by Laurel, my business continues to grow and expand largely due to my attention to detail. When I’m working on a whitetail deer, fox, coyote, raccoon or any other animal, I want my finished product to truly reflect the beauty of tha

t animal. During my fourteen year career, I have had the pleasure of also preserving cold and warm water fish, as well as, exotic African mammals. I have been competing on a professional level for eight years and am a member of the SCI Mid Michigan Chapter (Safari Club International) and the MTA (Michigan Taxidermy Association). It is important to me to continue improving my skills and also to give back to the community. Some of my community projects include donating a life-size pheasant to the Grand Valley Chapter, Pheasants Forever, also raising money for our local Howard City Conservation Club by raffling off a whitetail shoulder mount. My studio, located in Newaygo, MI, is where the work begins. I invite you to stop by, see my displays and let me know how I can preserve some of your best memories.
