Sue has been raising Miniature Dachshunds for over 40 years. Her love for the breed started earlier! You can't go wrong with one of her pups!

Sue's Dachshunds have wonderful temperaments and don't have the back problems that most Dachshunds do. One of her puppies even went on to be famous! He is in a GM Commercial and has a book written about him! Dachshunds are the perfect family pet for almost any family! They are wonderful for apartments but also do good with someone who has an active life! They even make a great pet for the elderly!

Did you know a dachshund was the first dog they were planning to cast in the Wizard of Oz. The part of Toto in The Wizard of Oz was originally meant to be played by a dachshund named Otto. He was owned by Margaret Hamilton who played the part of the Wicked Witch of the West in the film.

The photo of Dorothy and Otto was shot from unreleased footage of the film, where Dorothy sang ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’.

This dog was found in Southern California but he reminds me so much of the line I used to raise that I had to share this picture! Somebody must be absolutely frantic by now!

UPDATE 3/15/2024 - No response from owner as listed on his microchip. Mario (5714) is now an SCDR rescue dog. The owner was notified via email, voicemail, and text message. No response. WELCOME TO SCDR, MARIO!!
