Boba is still in search of his forever home!!

He is a 7 year old male Parson’s, Jack Russell terrier mix! He weighs about 22 lbs and needs a home where he is the only pet!

Boba has been with us for about 5 months and he ie such a little goof ball and a staff favorite. He is a sweet and adventurous boy who is always up for an outing but also enjoys snuggles at home! Our favorite little quirk he has is that he absolutely loves to sleep cuddled up under blankets. If we ever can’t find him, we know he is definitely in a little ball under a warm blankey.

Boba has been out on a few field trips, everyone has had such lovely things to say about him such as:

Boba was really calm and respectful when meeting people. He was well behaved, and had no accidents. He loved cuddling up on the bed/couch and happily took a nap! He went for a walk and loved it. He walks well on a leash, but can be a little reactive to seeing other dogs, which makes sense since he can be dog selective.

Hinge Boba got his energy out (took about a hour) became really lovey, even giving face kisses. He was so snuggly and fun. We were impressed by his abilities to sit, stand, shake, and jump. He also played fetch well and dropped the ball when asked.

Interested in Boba? Maybe you can’t adopt him but want to foster him while he waits for his forever family, or maybe you want to sponsor part or all of his adoption fee! Any of these would be helpful for this sweet boy!

You find information on fostering or adopting Boba on our website, pawsitivelysaved.org

If you’re considering sponsoring his adoption fee please message us!

Nothing better than a sibling field trip!

Avery and Adam enjoyed a day out of the rescue learning sit, working on recall on longlines, building confidence, and just exploring!

These sweet boys are in search of their forever homes! They are almost 4 months, and are guessed to be beagle mixes (?) at least that’s what their paperwork says! They both are very sweet, treat motivated, love people and dogs, and are always up for an adventure! They did great in the car, and snuggled up and fell asleep in the crate on the way back to the rescue.

Avery (brown) is the more confident of the two. Adam (black and tan) is more submissive.

These lovely boys along with their 2 other brothers (Apollo and Arlo) are ready to bring joy to your life!

Interested in one of these sweet boys? Apply on our website today! They will be such great additions! ❤️🐾

Jack is looking for a forever home!

He is in a foster home and learning what it means to be a dog. To play, to snuggle, and to not be so scared of the world. He will take treats from you when he is comfortable, likes to follow around the other dogs, and enjoys taking naps on the couch next to his foster sibling.

Jack will also require a securely fenced yard and would really benefit from another confident dog to show him the ropes. He likes playing with other dogs and they have really helped him come out of his shell.

His foster says he is doing a great job potty-training and crate-training. He is happiest lounging on the couch observing the people and things around him or chewing on a bone. He plays great with other dogs and does great around kids. Recently we hosted about 10+ people for Christmas and he happily laid in his crate in the room and just observed the party quietly. He doesn’t require a lot of exercise to get tired out. His energy levels are pretty low and he just enjoys pacing around the house sniffing things or enjoying a nice peanut butter treat (his favorite)!

If Jack sounds like he could be your new best friend please submit an application on our website! Pawsitivelysaved.org

We’re hiring! 🐾

We’re looking to add one additional member to our team! Must be hardworking, reliable, able to keep up in a fast paced and loud environment, comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

The shifts you will need to be able to work are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evening from 1-6pm.

You have to be able to work quickly and efficiently by yourself as it’s one person per shift. You would need to be able to come in and volunteer to watch one of our employees for a few days first to see what it entails and ensure it will be a good fit.

This is a kennel assistant position and includes but is not limited to: cleaning and sanitizing kennels and other areas, feeding, lifting bags of food, dishes, walking dogs, bathing dogs, scooping LOTS of p**p, and more. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.

This is a physically and emotionally demanding job, but it is so rewarding to be able to care for these dogs and provide them with everything they need while they wait for a forever home!

‼️Parvo Puppies Update‼️

Our vet bill for the Parvo puppies is already exceeding $9,000 and still increasing by the minute. One is doing better, the other is still fighting hard. It’s a long road ahead and we’re hoping the remaining 2 puppies can pull through.

Please consider donating. We have currently raised about $900 towards their care. We still need $8,100 and likely more as the days go on. We need your help. Donations are tax deductible and is supporting us by offering anyone who donates towards our Parvo puppies a chance to enter a giveaway!!!

Keep sharing, spreading the word, these innocent sweet babies need your help.

You can donate through venmo, bring in cash or a check, or donate on our website!! Another option is also to transfer your bottle drop money to us!

Our hearts are broken. Our pockets are beyond empty. But our minds are hopeful for our 2 puppies.

If you haven’t read our previous post here’s the story:

We had an owner surrender request for a litter of 6 week old pups. We sprung into action to help these sweet pups. They were said to be “healthy” but upon arrival we realized they weren’t in good health. They were VERY sick. We rushed them to vet only to find out they have parvo. We hospitalized them and have lost 4 and are doing all we can for the 2 remaining puppies. They are fighting for their lives.

It has been absolutely devastating and our hopes are high for the remaining puppies. Please donate to their continued care. If you have ever dealt with Parvo, you know how financially and emotionally exhausting it is. We’re just glad we can give them a fighting chance.

Have you been considering fostering?

Here are a few of our dogs who really need fosters!

Fosters are truly our saving grace. Having a dog in a foster home is incredibly helpful for us, as well as the dog. It allows us to learn more about the dogs personality that we don’t always get to see in the shelter environment. It also frees up space for us to help another dog in need. It’s a relatively low commitment, and costs are paid for by the rescue.

Being in a foster also tends to help dogs get adopted more quickly by showing adopters how they would be in a home.

If you are interested in fostering, please fill out the application on our website under the “foster a dog” tab! 🐾

This is just one of the ways you can make a difference. ❤️

Dogs needing foster:

Lady- 1 year old female hound, about 38 lbs. can be dog selective. Loves walks, and playing!

Paige- female 2 year old chihuahua mix. Weighs about 10 lbs. very shy. Would thrive in a quiet, calm home.

Zuzu- 4 year old female old English bulldog. Weighs about 80 lbs. Needs a home with no other pets and no kids, very strong, but very sweet and playful.

Kingston- 2 year old male boxer mix. Weighs about 38 lbs. sweet but timid, needs a secure home and yard.

Dallas- 2 year old male chihuahua mix. Weighs about 10 lbs. Sweet and playful boy.

Boba- 7 year old male Jack Russell terrier mix. Weighs about 22 lbs. loves to snuggle, and burrow under blankets. Needs a home with no cats, dog selective.

🚨EXTREMELY URGENT!!! 🚨

We need you NOW more than ever.

Our hearts are absolutely shattered and our pockets have been emptied trying to save them.

We have had to spend countless hours completely disinfecting our building, even though they were only with us for a short period of time.

This is why it is so important to vaccinate your dogs and keep puppies isolated until they’re old enough to be fully vaccinated.

We can’t even fathom what our vet bill will be for these babies, but we do know we need help. If you could donate anything we really need your support right now.

It has been absolutely devastating and our hopes are high for the remaining puppies. Please donate to their continued care. If you have ever dealt with Parvo, you know how financially and emotionally exhausting it is. We’re just glad we can give them a fighting chance.
