These foster puppies explored the yard in the daylight today. Tux welcomed them from his side of the fence! These puppies are only six weeks old and were saved by a family. In the cold weather they took them out to a heated enclosure for the feral mom to nurse them. Now the challenge is to find a way to get the feral mother spayed so she doesn't have more litters. This is hard. If you have a pet that needs to be fixed, we offer affordable spay/neuter on our website (and pit and pit mixes fixed free!) Please help us stop the overpopulation. www.newberryhumanesociety.com

TRANSPORT DAY! We sent 21 puppies to New York today. They had a blast playing together while waiting for the van. Thanks to your support all these puppies were saved. We couldn't do it without the donations and help.
These puppies are one week away from going to the New York rescue. They are healthy, happy, thriving, and excited for the next adventure thanks to the Newberry County Humane Society Your support is the only way we can keep saving these unwanted litters. THANK YOU! We are busy training the puppies that will be transported to the rescue on November 1st. This was Rosie's first time on a leash. She did fantastic. Teaching them to walk nicely and sit on cue helps them get adopted. Separation from their siblings and exploring a new environment builds their confidence. This is what we do to help them gain independence. As always, remember that spay/neuter is the answer to overpopulation. Visit our website to explore the affordable options. (And don't forget that pit and pit mixes are spay/neutered free through our program.) www.Newberry County Humane Society
Bubbles and puppies! All safe and sound at the New York Rescue thanks to their coordination with the Newberry County Humane Society. No doubt these precious pups will soon be adopted. π₯°
Today we let the foster puppy hounds romp in the grass pen. Oh, did they have fun! It was a rough-and-tumble, run-until-your-tongue-hangs-out experience! They loved the grass. They are learning to sit on cue. Only two weeks until they go to the rescue in New York, but they are well on their way to being adorable, adoptable puppies! There will be 18 in this transport. That's a lot of lives saved. Thanks for your support of our mission. Spay/neuter is the answer!
