Baltic one of our beautiful Kiowas House Husky Rescue Round Up Huskies, has come so far and he is the sweetest husky ever. He wagges his tail with joy It's just simply contagious. His Spirit is shines in his eyes like the stars in the sky.
You would never know the that he found himself lost in the shelter system.
Judi saw a phot of this boy the day after his stay hold was up. This beautiful fully ball of joy Captured her heart and she knew at that moment she was going to be the voice to save his life.
So quickly she went to work networking him and Kiowas House Husky Rescue agree to add his to our Husky Round.
However we Kiowas House Husky Rescue requested a tag they said he was sent to a different shelter, we reached out the the other shelter and where told they didn't have him. He was at a different shelter. Thats right this underdogs was lost in the California shelter system. But that just made us more Determined to find this boy and get him safe. We reached out to the 3rd shelter and where told they didn't have him. Not we are very worried we are sending Laura C in person to the 1st to look for our boy. When we receive and email saying he has been adopted. But wait he cant be adpoted on 9/26/24 and he came into the shelter on 9/25/24.
So we began an online shelter of all 3 shelter we had been told he was located at. With each passing day hes getting closer to deathrow. We are down the rabbit hole and 5 days into looking for the boy and we found him . He has never left the 1st shelter he was there the whole time. They named his Doug.
With a tear in her eye and a sigh of relief. In a blink of and eye we rush to his side. And just when we believed it was over and he would be safe we should and they had shaved him. We all know you never shave a husky .

We have taken a heartbreaking loss. Our beautiful boy, Alpha,
We took a chance on Alpha, despite his documented negative behaviors, we wanted to give Alpha a chance to be the dog he should have always have been.
We loved him, heart and soul loved him. We believed that with time, love, patience, kindness and training, he could overcome his past traumas and be the sweet and happy boy we saw glimpses of. His foster loved him deeply, spent hours grooming him, working with him, even sleeping in his kennel with him.
We talked with a very experienced and skilled trainer and had made arrangements to get him there.
However, at his vet visit for the health exam, our beautiful boy Alpha, suddenly and without warning snapped and attacked. Two people were sent to the ER. The vet informed us we had but 2 choices: to put him down in his office right then or have Animal Control come take him and they would put him down.
We believe that Alpha was deeply spooked by being at the vet, maybe traumatic memories resurfaced. We just don’t know. Our wonderful foster, who Alpha loved and trusted, was injured in the attack. Alpha had not shown one lip curl, not one growl, not one raised neck hair. Nothing but love for her and a growing trust. He sought out affection, pets, belly rubs, wanted physical contact, took treats gently, curled up next to her for nap time, followed the foster around and behaved like a puppy. He even was friendly with the other dogs there. Despite her own injury, Alpha’s foster begged and begged to be allowed take him back home, begged for him to be given another chance, begged to let him go to the trainer. Sadly, the vet and animal control did not agree and would not permit it. She stayed with him, loving him and being with him until the end.
This is extremely painful for all of us, especially his foster who deeply loved him.
We never wants this to happen ever again so we are starting the Alpha Memorial Fund. The fund will be set aside and dedicat
